Reviews

Wow what a place, we stayed here for a Long weekend (last minute) and we were really surprised, the cleanliness, the quality of the fittings and furniture, fluffy towels and good quality bedding, this should have been a five star rental. The owner Carol was there to greet us, running through where everything is, what a lovely warm welcome, and a lovely touch was the "starter pack" consisting of tea, coffee, milk etc., nothing seemed to much bother for her, we asked her about the area and she was so kind to recommend certain places to see, there was also tourist brochures In a folder in the cottage for ideas. After unpacking we went for a walk, the peace and tranquillity was so nice after coming from a busy town. We spent most of our weekend just chilling, the cottage was lovely and warm and so so quiet. We went into Whitby and also to Redcar, to name a few, it was a great weekend lot of lovely walks with no people around... bliss.. I would certainly recommend this place and will definitely be going back later this year, everything was excellent from start to finish.

Return we said and return we have, The views are beautiful in wintertime easy to get about and park in Whitby Redcar and Saltburn the owners are so friendly It makes you not want to go home bottle of wine on arrival with loads of bottled water ( well water you don't drink but safe to use for everything else ) biscuits tea bags fresh milk coffee and sugar are all provided. Spotlessly clean and warm and cosy relaxing and watching tv at night. Spent a long time looking for the barn owl but eventually he came out so graceful in flight. There Is a nice village at Guisborough Ideal for your bits and bobs ten minutes away and a lovely farmers market at stokesley once a month. Thanks again to Carol Chuck and Charles for again making us so welcome see you soon.

My wife and I have just spent two weeks at this fabulous barn conversion for my wife's 70th birthday. On arrival we were met by the owners with a bottle of milk , bottled water,,tea bags coffee and bicuits wowee a good start, the owners Charles and wife Carol are two of the most friendly and helpful people you could hope to meet The rooms were spotlessly clean with white cotton sheets on the beds and very comfortable mattress the shower was of a good size and was well suitable for my disabled wife. The grounds around the cottages are immaculately kept short mown grass with a patio area with table and chairs to sit outside. The local area is well known for walkers and cyclists with Whitby Saltburn Redcar and Heartbeat country all within half an hour by car and for steam buffs you have the North York's Moors Railway also within easy reach, All in all a fantastic place to stay with plenty to occupy you or peace and quiet if you wish,You can also see the sea at Saltburn from this location. Sorry but forgot the bottle of wine to celebrate. We will certainly return.

The property was very well situated, far enough away from the main road to be peaceful and close enough for getting to where you wanted easily. We had a lovely week with no bad comments at all, it was perfect. Will definitely go there again if we choose to go to north Yorkshire in the future.
