Location Details
The picturesque village of Hawkshead still retains the charm and character that so endeared it to its most famous residents - William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter. Cars are banned from the village, leaving visitors free to wander the wealth of tiny alleyways, thoroughfares, archways and courtyards between the whitewashed 17th Century houses. With stunning scenery and numerous attractions within easy touring distance, Hawkshead is in an ideal location at any time of the year.
Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

When we got to our cottage we were absolutely thrilled with the beautiful setting. It was totally private with spectacular views. The cottage has everything you might need and more, it was perfect. There is a private beach on Lake Windermere only 10mins walk from the Cottage, we did not see another person there on 5 different visits. We loved it. Bliss.
Dove Cottage is a warm cottage with excellent facilities Well provided with comfortable furniture and a well fitted Kitchen. It is in a beautiful situation, and is very peaceful.
The location was good and use of the swimming pool made the holiday as the weather wasn't brilliant and it was great for the kids to be able to use it as often as we liked.
Fantastic location with amazing views. Quiet and secluded. A cottage with great charm and fantastic to be on a beautiful private estate.
