Grassington is one of the most charming villages in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Traditional stone cottages and shops are clustered around the cobbled market place, offering exceptional shopping facilities for a village of this size, with a monthly farmer's market offering a mouthwatering range of organic and homemade local produce. Situated on the River Wharfe, with the extensive Grass Woods to the north of the village, this is a superb walking area. Down dale is Bolton Abbey with the Abbey ruins, the Priory and the famous "Strid Walk". A little further is the elegant town of Ilkley, overlooked by the famous Ilkley Moor. Up dale are Kettlewell and Buckden boasting spectacularly beautiful limestone scenery. With many other beauty spots scattered throughout Wharfedale, Grassington provides a great base for exploring the local area and all that the Dales have to offer, with Brontë Country and York also being within easy motoring distance.

Set just off the main street of wonderful Grassington, within walking distance of some bespoke shops (definitely visit Robert Bunney) and pubs and restaurants - Grassington House and Devonshire Arms are particularly worth visiting. Access to some amazing walks along the River or up on the Fells. Gorgeous king-size bed with quality bedding, (Christy) towels and exquisite Susie Watson soft furnishings. Window seats and lovely and airy throughout. Spotlessly clean and absolutely everything we needed. Warm and inviting gas log burner. We will definitely book again - all correspondence with the owner was easy and professional. What a great little find!
Just had 3 nights here in January 2018. Manna cottage is brilliant! It has every thing you need and was spotlessly clean. Grassington is a great little village with good pubs and eateries.
An excellent cosy cottage in the heart of Grassington, the charming Wharfedale village.
The cottage was very well placed for walks and eating out and a little shopping. We would book the cottage again for it was very well furnished and was warm and a good place to stay.
A very comfortable cottage in the heart of the village.
Liked the location of the cottage, the space for car parking and the facilities, had everything you needed. It was very close to the pubs for eating out, had good instructions for heating, TV and video, and had good quality bath towels.
We stayed for 4 nights in Manna Cottage over the Easter weekend. Sheila, the owner, arrived to let us into the house and was very friendly and quickly and without fuss showed us the necessary things we needed to know girl our stay. The cottage was very comfortable and gave us all we needed for our stay. It was very well situated as a base for our exploring of the Dales. It's location within Grassington was superb giving us a view down the Main Street and yet it's privacy was not compromised. Grassington is a lovely village with the necessary amenities and a choice of restaurants and coffee shops. Due to our travels we only had dinner one evening in Grassington in the Devonshire Hotel and it was excellent. We also had a very enjoyable cream tea in the Cobblestones tea room. We would certainly recommend Grassington and Manna Cottage for a destination when staying in the a Dales. Hopefully we will again return to the Dales in the future and we would have no hesitation staying her again.
