Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.
No heating or TV when we arrived on the Friday afternoon. Heating was "fixed" TV wasn't. No heating again on Saturday. TV was fixed Saturday morning and heating eventually fixed early Saturday afternoon. These interruptions ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing weekend to celebrate my Wife's Birthday. Complained to Sykes (who I booked the holiday through - who I paid and who issued the receipt!). No reply so they are obviously "hiding" behind their T's and C's whereby the "contract" is with the owner (who Sykes will not give an address for so that I can take t up directly). I will never book another holiday through Sykes as, in my opinion, their Customer Service is non-existent! BEWARE!!
This is a lovely cottage. It was a really nice base to come back to and relax in. It was very child friendly and comfortable.
A very conveniently located cottage set in lovely countryside with plenty of good walks within easy reach. The cottage was excellently equipped with everything you could need.
Friendly owners. Very clean and cosy cottage. Lovely location. Dog friendly with plenty of nice long walks and beaches nearby. Perfect.
A beautiful setting and a lovely peaceful area, it was very easy to just enjoy the break as everything was at hand.
I am sat in this lovely cottage as I write this review. The cottage sits in some of the most stunning countryside I've ever seen . the cottage is warm and cosy with everything you could possibly need . such a nice well looked after cosy place . so many beaches nr by and friendly locals all make for a fantastic break . I would not hesitate to recommend this cottage . oh and if you are a dog owner your dog is gonna love it here :-)
Porth Awyr was very clean and tidy, in a nice, quiet area yet with shops only a few miles away . Excellent walks nearby by also.
This is a cosy little cottage in a beautifully quiet location. To give an idea of the quietness, the highest number of vehicles passing our door in one day was 4 (two of those was the postman)! We used it as a base for walking along the coastal path, exploring the peninsula and wider area. It was clean and tidy upon arrival, the key collection was straightforward. The cottage was equipped for 4 people (the max number that can stay). There was a dishwasher and washer/dryer which worked perfectly. For our comfort the double bed was far too soft, luckily as there was only three of us we could simply swap the sleeping arrangements. Aberdarron is a lovely little village nearby (3miles), Abersoch is a 'trendy' little village a little further away. We can highly recommend Dylan's in Cricceith. Part of the attraction of this cottage was that we could take our dog. We also thoroughly enjoyed stargazing at night as a bonus due to virtually no light pollution. We would certainly recommend this cottage for peace, quiet and relaxation.
A lovely cosy comfortable cottage which was well maintained, equipped and spotlessly clean. In a beautiful secluded spot within easy reach of all places of interest and gorgeous beaches. Would definitely book again.
The property was brilliant, felt freshly decorated and homely. Good for the dog, he enjoyed it as well.
We loved the location which we found to be very peaceful. The property was spotless and contained everything one would need for a relaxing holiday with views to die for.
