This delightful semi-detached cottage is situated in the grounds of the Glendorgal Hotel, in the seaside village of Porth in Cornwall. There is no finer cottage nearby that will offer such luxurious accommodation in such a stunning location and is perfect for families and friends wishing to get away from it all. As you enter, go up a few steps and it will lead you to the stunning, spacious living room with amazing uninterrupted views over the beach and directly across to Porth Island. The balcony here will offer a chance, at any time of day, to relax and simply watch the tide ebb and flow. Go down two small sets of stairs and this will lead you to the two en-suite bedrooms, both with a bath and shower, and both with French doors leading out onto the patio and garden, a lovely spot for breakfast. The garden is also accessed from the middle floor, and is ideal for both children and dogs to run around, but care must be taken not to attempt to climb over the dense hedge at the bottom. A short walk takes you down the steps that lead you directly onto one of Cornwall's finest beaches which is sheltered and protected by headlands on both sides, and access to the coastal path is even easier making a walk into Newquay most inviting. However, for keen walkers, a walk in the other direction at low tide from Porth to Watergate Bay along the beach is a must. After well-earned refreshments in an award-winning beach café, a beautiful walk back along the cliff path with fantastic views will make the day one you will never forget. For a shorter family walk, the walk across the bay to Porth Island is also a must. Accessed by a narrow footbridge, the island has impressive prehistoric earthworks and the remains of a Bronze Age settlement. Newquay is well-known for a host of pubs, cafes, restaurants and clubs but Porth itself has much to offer with a pub on the beach, an excellent restaurant at Porth Veor Manor, a tapas bar and cafes. Please note that the beach has a dog ban between Easter and September, making it more attractive for dog owners outside this period. Whatever the time of year, this wonderful holiday home really is hard to beat for a great beach holiday in a stunning location with accommodation to match.
