We visited her last weeK, for 7 nights. We would have appreciated being notified that the outside space was now out of bounds, due to the hot tub being moved downstairs-it means that there is only 1 exit-the front door,in case of an emergency.I wonder if this is legal, due to H&S. The rest of the house was good-apart from the middle floor bedroom-the "owl" room-the bed mattress was very used-and the pieces of wood, placed on the frame,to act as a base, was a shock when it collapsed-with me in it, fast asleep-this needs urgent attention!!! It could have been a nasty wake up call!!! Im not sure I would rebook, due to the lack of outside space-and the hot tub cover needs replacing-it took 3 of us to put on/off, due to it being so broken! Silly things like this dont enhance the property!

We stopped here for 3 nights for my dad's 70th Birthday. My sister, hubby, dad, wife and me and husband plus for kids and a dog all stayed here very comfortably. The view of the river was lovely, we was just a short walk into Shrewsbury itself and the house was clean and tidy. The kids did argue about the Xbox a lot but I guess that's what kids do. There was a big draw full of family games too. Our only issue was at the lion hotel restaurant, however thats another review.

A group of 9 ladies stayed here for 3 nights for a 40th Birthday. The house is spread over 3 floors. All bedrooms are beautifully decorated, are a good size and all have a river view . Plus there is a double sofa bed with bedding available in the second sitting room on the ground floor. All bedrooms including the second sitting room were fitted with TVs. One shower room is on the ground floor and the second shower room is on the first floor. So those stopping in the 2 bedrooms on the second floor do have to come down a flight of stairs to access the toilet/ bathroom. Again bathrooms were luxurious and each guest was provided with a bath and hand towel. The ground floor has an open plan kitchen, lounge and dining room with large tv. There were enough seats/ sofas available. There are also bi fold doors leading to a very small yard. The hot Tub is located on the first floor and has seating available for those wanting to stay dry. Another great place to sit for adults, but wouldn’t be a great place for children to play. Cleaning chemicals etc were available for the hot tub in the utility area. We found there to be plenty of utensils, cutlery etc available in the kitchen including dishwasher tablets. You can Purchase one parking permit from the owner which is £15 for 3 nights. This allows you to park in the United Reform Church Car Park over the bridge and you don’t have the have the inconvenience of having to keep putting money parking meter. However there are lots of NCP car parks are available literally a few min walk away. The house is located on the water front so you cannot park out the front at all. There is also no rear access to the property as the rear gate has been bricked up. There is a public loading /unloading bay located at the end of Julian’s Crescent right near the main road leading to the bridge. However, we struggled to find this on arrival as the loading bay is only identified by faded painted writing on the road. So unloading the vehicles/ loading the vehicles took a few trips back and forth. Overall we absolutely loved this property, it is literally a stones throw from all the shops and restaurants, however back in the property/ hot tub it is very quiet with only the sounds of ducks in the river to be heard. Would love to re-visit x

Lovely spacious house with great view out of windows.Very clean with all mod cons, only criticism I would give is there is no PTO on the hot tub instructions on the notice board, so we knew nothing about sterilisation of the hot tub, the other thing we found was facilities in the kitchen were quite basic, no bread bin, lack of cooking utensils, no dishwasher tablets, so had to go out and buy things, those things aside though, I would still rate it a good house to stay in.

Visited with 7 family members for annual get together. Probably one of the best houses we have stayed in. House is well fitted out, nice bed linen and fluffy towels Great location, easy stroll to town and lovely river walks. Lots of nice pubs and eating places very near. We didn't use the hot tub. Hope to visit again next year.

10 of us stayed in this gorgeous house for a friends 40th last summer and it was one of the best weekends I've had. Shrewsbury itself is beautiful but this house was utterly fabulous, beautiful inside, everything you need plus the added luxury of the hot tub!! I'd go back and stay here every month if I could!! Fabulous 5*****

The house was amazing and spotlessly clean, it is spacious and beautifully decorated throughout and with the added bonus of a hot tub we had the most amazing time. Thank you we will definitely be back and cannot recommend it enough! A really great find!

This is a fantastic property, close to the town, shops and restaurants. The hot tub was great, all the bedrooms are a really good size and the living accommodation is spacious. We would definitely stay here again.

We are a group of 8 friends who meet up once a year and chose Shrewsbury on recommendation. The cottage was everything the photos displayed, large, comfortable rooms. With the added bonus of the hot tub and of course the fantastic few from the kitchen and bedroom windows. A few minutes walk to the town with plenty places to eat and drink. What more can you ask for. We will be back. x

In a great location, a short walk to all amenities but in a relaxing riverside setting. There were lots of interesting things to do a short drive away. The hot tub was much enjoyed after a busy day.

My family booked this property for the last 2 weeks of July without the benefit of photos. as it was a new listing. Upon arrival our expectations were exceeded. The house on 3 floors has been beautifully renovated, it's tastefully decorated, very comfortable and very well equipped. Everything is brand new, mainly IKEA. We loved it! The location is perfect, just minutes walk to the center of town. Again our expectations were exceeded. We had never been to this area before and Shrewsbury is awesome for all ages. The delightful Tudor architecture, castles, churches, cafes, bars, restaurants, high street shops, independent stores, pedestrian only areas, street musicians, river side walks..wow the list goes on, what a town!! The best part for us 'parents with teenagers' who don't drive was that they could be independent without us having to be taxi drivers. Apart from the town there's a lot to do within a short distance for the teens, archery, quad biking, karting, falcon center, gardens, stately homes, castles etc etc. The countryside is stunning! The house was perfect, and we loved having 2 sitting rooms. There were a couple of teething problems and I struggled with the Central Heating controls (it was a pretty chilly couple of weeks) we live in the Caribbean so smart CH was a novelty for me! I would recommend this house to anyone and would definitely love to come back!! I already miss the truly awesome river view, the ducks, swans, signets and the double rainbow we saw one evening. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home!

Marine Terrace was a wonderful base from which to visit Shrewsbury. The standard of accommodation was excellent - we girls were particularly impressed with the quirky dinning table & chairs and funky wallpaper in the bedrooms. The whole house had been beautifully restored and well planned out for a holiday cottage. The house had a great view of the River Seven and was very peaceful, yet we were in walking distance of the shops, bars and restaurants. It could not have been better. To top it all off - there was the hot tub!

This house is beautiful, it's recently benefited from a major renovation, the entire house is beautifully decorated to a high standard. It is well laid out and has many touches which place it highly in our opinion. It's location is central so everything is within walking distance. The house comfortably sleeps 10 and this is catered for with ample kitchen equipment, cutlery and crockery. I wouldn't hesitate to return to this property, in fact we are all counting down the days. Everything you need is already catered for and we literally needed nothing apart from food and wine! We were so impressed with this property, it's excellent value for money, and the town itself is lovely. With plenty of bars and restaurants, Shrewsbury has plenty to offer.
