St Boswells sits on the south of the River Tweed in the Scottish Borders. There is much evidence of Roman occupation, dating from almost two thousand years ago. Today, St Boswells is known for being on the route of St Cuthbert’s Way, the long distance path from Melrose Abbey to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne. The village boasts a hotel, café, several shops, post office, butcher and a garage. As well as spectacular salmon and brown trout fishing on the River Tweed, the local riverside walks take in attractive scenery.

From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain's best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.
It is siituated in a lovely village which has everything you need. The people are so friendly and there are lots of lovely walks, especially around the Tweed. There was plenty of golf for my partner. The cottage itself is a home from home and the owners have revamped the cottage tastefully. Will be back.
