Location Details

On the River Great Ouse sits the famous mediaeval port of King's Lynn, which dates to the 12th century. The town is a treasure mine for history buffs, with large merchant homes, art galleries, museums, and the Custom House, a Grade I listed edifice that was constructed in 1683 by Henry Bell. The town retains its original winding streets and alleys, and boasts good shopping facilities, with a combination of national retailers and specialist shops, along with a selection of pubs and restaurants. The West Norfolk shoreline is easily accessible by car, and most of the surrounding Norfolk countryside has been designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Particularly Hunstanton is well known for its stunning beaches and sunsets. A number of locations along the coast provide boat excursions, and the Norfolk Coast Cycleway connects King's Lynn with Cromer. A short drive away is Sandringham, the magnificent rural residence of The Queen, and it is highly recommended that you stop by the spectacular Visitor Center there.

We just recently returned for 2 nights at Jacks Corner cottage with our Dog. The cottage was spotless and just perfect. Leslie and Trevor were lovely owners. The pub is at the end of the garden and welcomes dogs too. We really couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. Thank you so much Jax enjoyed his 1st holiday.

The little cottage had its own parking space, courtyard enclosed for your dog, fire pit, patios and flower beds. There was a little porch before entering the kitchen and double doors from the lounge area onto a patio. It was quiet, very well kept, very clean and just overall perfect. The 2 that we saw (due to the owners being on holiday) were amazing. They were friendly, helpful, and went the extra mile for my birthday. They looked after the dog with providing bowls, dogs treats and a towel and dry the dog after the treks on the coast. The bathroom was superb, good heating including underfloor heating. Self catering kitchen with all the amenities. I cannot stress enough how everything was just perfect here. We deffnitely will be back again!

Kitchen was spotless everything you need microwave etc. A bed covered with quality bedding and throws lovely decoration cushions to match interior. Bathroom very clean and modern heated towel rail lovely shower Garden with BBQ lovely spaces to sit in the sun table two chairs to eat outside. Well maintained garden so relaxing sitting there in the sunshine. We slept well woke up to swallows singing a perfect holiday home. All we did was sleep and eat so relaxing. Highly recommended, the owners make you so welcome, we didn't want to leave.. Two minutes walk a wonderful country pub with great real ales. No noise at night from the pub. Friendly welcoming locals who make you feel part of the village. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend this to anyone... The most beautiful little cottage, with all needed amenities - including a complimentary bottle of wine on arrival. The owners are the most lovely people who couldn't do enough to help us over the weekend. The cottage is situated behind a lovely little pub run by the cottage owners, we made so many friends and there was karaoke and live music all weekend, however please note from the cottage you can't hear a thing. Loved this place and there was lots to do, also dog friendly and our puppy Cassie had a great time. Furthermore for being dog friendly the cottage was spotless! No issues. We are already talking about coming back. Please note previous review regarding owners dog, we had no issues at all, dogs do bark on arrival and it is suggested if your not a dog person just walk past. Personally I wouldn't approach a doggie I didn't know close enough for it to reach my face.

This is a small but lovely cottage, modern kitchen & shower room and underfloor heating which made it really cosy. The bed is in the living room but there is a sofa and outdoor seating. It is situated behind a pub but there is no noise from it at all. The driveway is gravelled and slightly awkward to negotiate if you're not used to manouvering on gravel. The one thing that spoiled our holiday though was being bitten by the owners dog when we went into the pub to collect the keys. He acknowledged it had happened but no-one said sorry and the lady owner said nothing even though I was bleeding from a cut on my cheek bone. We didn't see the owners again all week as I refused to go back into the pub. We had booked through Sykes and said in our review what had happened and suggested they advise an alternative location for key collection. Their response was pathetic, it basically consisted of excuses from the owners about why it wasn't their fault. There is a previous review in the guest book which mentions the owners 'vicious' dogs.

The owners of this property were outstanding in the presentation, cleanliness, décor and the way in which we were welcomed. I must say that my wife and I would love to express our surprise at the wonderful way we were treated by the owner's customers in their pub The Union Jack when we called in for a drink. If all people were like this what a different world it would be.
