Reviews

Short stay in March just for a change of scenery. The cottage was clean & tidy, well equipped with all the essentials to hand. The bedroom is bright and spacious with a comfy bed and the en-suit shower & toilet is quite adequate, It is also handy having an extra toilet downstairs. We met one of the owners Sasha who is a pleasant lass! Although they live next door we were left to do our own thing. In Kirkoswald The Featherstone Arms Thursday Pie Night is well worth booking!

The Coach House didn't disappoint - it's lovely. Modern upstairs, clean and surprisingly quite spacious (apart from the kitchen! but this still has mod cons etc). Alexa and Sasha are very welcoming and friendly. The Village has 2 great pubs that do fantastic food and allow dogs (The Crown allows dogs up until 5.30pm only but they also do take away food). River Eden is also a lovely discovery for walking purposes. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here thanks very much. Would definitely recommend this place.

The Coach House was ideal for the two of us. We felt very much "at home" there and the owners were very welcoming and very helpful. The little shop in Kirkoswald had all the basics and the bigger shop not far away in Lazonby had everything else! The countryside around is delightful and we enjoyed a week of hill walking, mainly on the Pennines.

This is the best cottage we have ever stayed in. Everything was excellent and our hosts were more than welcoming. The surrounding area is beautiful and the pubs in the village are both fantastic! We will have no hesitation in recommending The Coach House to our friends and family.
