Greengables is a delightful first floor apartment situated on The Bay holiday village, three miles from Filey. This apartment sleeps four people in two bedrooms, consisting of one double with en-suite shower and one adult bunk, along with a bathroom. The apartment also has an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and a sitting area. Outside there's off road parking for one car, communal grounds with lakes and excellent on-site facilities, including an indoor swimming pool, gym and beauty treatments. Greengables is a lovely North York Moors base. It is anticipated that wifi will be available from 3/9/21 subject to proposed network provider installation, but please enquire first if you are wanting to book for the two weeks immediately after that date. Note: One well-behaved dog welcome.

Filey 3 miles. This modern first floor apartment is situated on The Bay holiday village complex, just three miles from the seaside town of Filey. With excellent on-site facilities, the apartment appeals to families wanting to enjoy a traditional seaside holiday, but with easy access to many nearby attractions and the gently rolling countryside of the Yorkshire Wolds. Inside, all areas are tastefully decorated and furnished with excellent quality furniture and bespoke dining table and chairs, there is an open plan living area, with a galley style, contemporary kitchen and a large and comfortable corner sofa, perfect for relaxing on whilst watching the 42’’ TV at the end of the day. The double bedroom has the added advantage of an en-suite shower room, ensuring no queues in the morning, and completing the accommodation is an adult bunk bedroom and a separate bathroom with all towels and linen of a high quality. This lovely self-catering apartment is well-positioned on the complex and is surrounded by well-kept communal grounds, with two small lakes and picnic areas. On the complex, there is a swimming pool with steam room, sauna and gym, with beauty facilities, tennis courts, archery, target shooting, fishing and bike hire also available. The on-site cafe and pub offer good food, or guests can enjoy a barbecue on the communal lawns, plus free WiFi is also available at the pub. A pleasant stroll brings you directly onto a lovely sandy beach using The Bay’s private access, perfect for building sandcastles, paddling in the sea and exercising your four legged friends! The popular seaside resort of Filey offers an unspoilt coble landing, beautiful gardens and long promenades. Enjoy a spot of beachcombing on Filey Brigg or partake in afternoon tea overlooking the beach from one of the hotels. A little further along the coast lies Flamborough Head and Bempton Nature Reserve, with bracing clifftop walks abounding with nesting sea birds, while the vibrant town of Scarborough lies close by, with its many attractions. For those who enjoy sea fishing, there are plenty of places to cast off from the harbour or on the beach, or for a small charge, why not contact one of the many local fishing boats in the harbour and take to the sea for a few hours of deep sea fishing. The town of Scarborough is also famous for the surf where at weekends you can find the surfers riding the waves on the North and South beaches, if you can’t surf but want to learn, surf lesson are available on the North beach. A perfect base for a fun-filled family holiday.

Property was just as described clean & relatively comfortable. The open plan area was spacious & the kitchen was well kitted out for self catering. The lack of wifi was irritating to my granddaugter but it didn't bother me. I found the sofa was too low & the dining chairs were so heavy me and my grandaughter struggled to move them. I had difficulty parking anywhere near the property as all the other properties had more than one car so mine ended up round on the road near the archery centre, not a massive problem but thought parking near the property should be described as first come first served as there are no specific parking places. Beach was lovely and the walk down was lovely. We used the shop & the cafe once and the staff were very helpful & friendly.
Lovely well equipped apartment at The Bay, Filey. Great on site amenities including a pub with excellent food on offer each evening. We took our dog and he really enjoyed his twice daily walks on the beautiful beach. The apartment was very clean, warm and welcoming, a true home from home.
Nice furnished accommodation close to site amenities pub restaurant gym swimming good access to beach and nicely positioned for trips into Filey and Scarborough .the site is dog friendly which was great and during our stay it was all responsible owners keeping dogs on leash and cleaning up after them.we would reccomend and will return to the bay
Greengables is very thoughtfully furnished and decorated. We loved the massive family sized sofa and carpets throughout. We have already recommended to family and friends.
Greengables was a lovely apartment, warm, cosy and immaculately clean. It was a home from home. The village was very pleasant and the on site facilities and activities good. All in all a very good base for exploring the beautiful North Yorkshire coast.
