Fabulous location, extremely peaceful, large accommodation, extremely private and quiet, beautiful views. However accommodation was dated, tired and grubby at best, we've seen better quality furniture in charity shops, and had much cleaner accommodation in caravans.. Cobwebs and dirty windows, lamps/mirror's not dusted, grubby sofa's, stains on throws and carpet's. Only two miserly hand towels provided, broken outside chairs, unsafe decking area. Wartered down soap etc etc.. We paid over £900 for 6 nights and we're expecting some sort of luxury, but had none.. Its basic at best.. Soul-less accommodation...Such a shame, as thus place is in a prime, beautiful location and has huge potential, it could be absolutely stunning if someone took some loving care over it..
For the price we paid, we were surprised with the lack of cleanliness, safety awareness and decor. We were advised that electrical checks were done 'visually' with no PAT testing. Safety did not appear important, with window blinds also broken and loose. Other reviews we read mentioned the woodlouse droppings in drawers etc as well as dirty crockery and cutlery. The sofa and chair were filthy, one of which was covered with a throw. We had kids with us and one got hurt on the wooden play area - which we realised later should not have been used due to a barely legible small sign in the play area. We checked out 1 day early on our 3 night booking and advised the owners after we left. I knew that the issues I had raised could not be resolved whilst we stayed at the property and my comments were sent later. As I was not able to provide photos, I felt there was no real acknowledgment of the issues I raised.
