Reviews

We arrived at this property not knowing what to expect after reading some reviews. I was pleasantly surprised, the log fire in the kitchen was lovely and we spent most of our time here, as it was a family get together holiday it meant when someone was cooking we were still altogether. The pool room had two ,two seater sofas in there so we could all be together or just chill in the kitchen, which also had two sofas in it. There was a tv in the kitchen, lounge and 1 in each of the 3 bedrooms ,yes the channels were limited but you could still find something to watch. The kitchen was well equipped, with everything you need. The downstairs shower was lovely as were all the bathrooms. The rooms were warm and we had to turn the central heating off sometimes even though it was cold outside. The only downside was the conservatory was very cold even though there were radiators in them they didn’t appear to be working but this was not a huge problem as we ate in the kitchen. A really enjoyable holiday, very good value for money.

Went to this property expecting 5 st ar got only 1-2star at best. arrived to find bins full of rubbish with maggots and flies. the handle came off in my husbands hand in the downstairs showere and toilet room, tv in the loung is at least over 25yrs old and you could only watch a 12inch screen on most of the programmes due to a large black band at the top and bottom of the tv. 2 of theremote controls are help together with selotape, lights not working in the lounge and bedrooms, Beds werehard and the duvet on the bed in the double bedroom was so old it was pitted all over it i would not have given it to my dog to sleep on. some of the sheets also had pitting on them they need to be replaced. The frying pan was so dirty when my husband washed it to use the water went a dirty brown colour. so we would not use it.Tvs in the bedrooms not working in the double and could only get bbc chanels on the rest,. the handle to the suite in the main bedroom kept comming off in your hand.It is not worth the £527.00 we paid for a weeks stay, have stayed in better 2 star than this

Six of us had a week in this house, set in the beautiful mid-Wales countryside. Confusion about the ensuite facilities did not get our holiday off to a good start. About ten days before we were to start our holiday, we were informed that the showers to two of the bathrooms would not be working, leaving us with just two showers for the 6 of us. We had deliberately chosen this house because it had all that we needed including one shower per couple. After assuring us that all would be well, and that in fact only one shower would be missing, we arrived to find that we were left with one hand-held shower and a very small shower cubicle downstairs. The bathrooms are not luxurious, as described by the Sykes website, but pretty basic. The kitchen facilities are sadly lacking (no sharp knives, so take your own), and that steps down from the roof terrace are small and rather hazardous. One plus point to take from our holiday was that one of our party was taken ill during our stay, and the ambulance and hospital services could not be faulted, with a swift response to a 999 call, and efficient care at Aberystwyth Hospital. Being out in the countryside, this was very reassuring!

Very Nice House. Plenty of wood supplied for the Log-burner which kept us cosy & warm as the temperature dropped below freezing. The pool table was a definite bonus which kept us entertained in the evenings. Lovely kitchen, living space with everything you could possibly need.

We had a lovely week at Tre Garreg, the party consisted of 6 adults and a dog. We holiday twice a year as a group and will definitely be planning a return visit to Tre Garreg. The area is absolutely stunning for walking or just driving round.

Fantastic property. We will look at it again in future. It is ideal for walking and local attractions. The house is spacious and extremely comfortable. The pool table is a great source of entertainment and the benefit of SKY TV and Broadband were a huge plus. We cannot recommend highly enough. The owner was very helpful.
