Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.
We have just stayed in No 4 for 7 nights - ideal for exploring the local area - very clean and easy parking just one or two minor issues need sorting to give it a 5 star rating - some o the lights not working - wobbley head board and an upstairs toilet would be nice but apart from that I enjoyed my stay and would consider it again
We stayed in the cottage for 3 nights, it is a fantastic place. Everything you need, it is really clean and has everything you need. Parking is on street just outside or on a car park across the road, the owners provide a parking pass for the car park so it is free! The location of the property is perfect, a few minutes there's a large co-op and a pub, and the main street has many pubs, convenience shops, banks and takeaways. Its an excellent location Many walks can be started in Bala, we rarely used the car. One point to watch is the stairs are wooden, they can be slippy in just socks. I fell down them the first night, but thats down to me being a clumsy! We will certainly return (i will take my slippers!)
Great communication before we arrived and good directions to the cottage. It is part of a restored workhouse, so lots of history. Easy to access (when you leave the main door, pull the handle up and then a little towards you are you turn the key). Stayed in many cottages and this had the best provision of essentials. Towels etc, toilet paper, tea and coffee, all there for us. The cottage was immaculate, very well maintained and the decoration is a very high standard. Parking permit for the car park opposite. This had put us off to begin but it is a very quiet car park, just back from the high street. It is very convenient as you do not have to try and find street parking. The permit can also be used in other car parks. There is a booklet on the cottage essentials and in the footstool there are further details, very well presented, to local walks, etc. Communal gardens, which was good for our dog although we tended to walk her around the lake most times. I cannot speak highly enough of the cottage, my husband found it a nuisance to have to go downstairs to the loo but I didn't find this a problem. The location is excellent. A short cut through to the supermarket and the high street, with all the local amenities there. Despite being so close there is no noise at all in the cottage, so perfect. The lake is 2 minutes away, with walks around it and close to the narrow gauge railway. I would highly recommend this and if we return to this area we will book again.
A very modern conversion in a great location. The properties surround a gated courtyard. Three properties are still not completed. I well equipped kitchen just short of a dishwasher so take your marigolds. The lounge was very comfortable but lacked a fire. Wifi was good but no Sky or DVD player. Great location just off the High Street in Bala. Lots of pubs, takeaways, shops & restaurants within a couple of minutes walk.
Beautiful cottage In a great location. On the doorstep for lots of outdoor activities.
In a great location to explore North Wales. The cottage was clean and very well presented with lots of little added touches such as local information for things to do and a parking permit to aid parking. On the whole, a great place to stay and worth a second visit.
I thought that the location, property and quality of the kitchen provisions and overall furnishings were of a very high quality. Such a beautiful part of Wales.
The location of 3 Bythynnod Yr Aran was perfect for hill walking. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. We were pleased that it had a fridge freezer as we had taken a few pre-prepared meals with us. Everything was in perfect working order and there was plenty of hot water for showers etc.
