The cottage is single storey, with a family room with king-size double bed and a single bed, and an adjacent shower room. The living area is open plan, with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside is ample off road parking, lockable bike storage and a patio with furniture as well as use of a designated area of the owner's garden, including steps down to the shingle beach. Herbrand House offers easy access to walking, the coast, train trips to London, or touring throughout Sussex and Kent.

Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop, station and hotel 3 mins walk. Note: Children aged 12 years and over only. Note: Care must be taken when using the steps onto the beach.

Location Details

Cooden Beach is a quiet setting just west of Bexhill-on-Sea, with a shingle beach and it's own railway station, as well as a golf course and hotel with spa. The coastal town of Bexhill-on-Sea is situated between Eastbourne and Hastings, and boasts a two mile promenade, the world famous De La Warr Pavilion, shops, museums, gardens and a motoring heritage centre, plus golf, fishing, water sports and the 1066 walk can all be enjoyed. Close by is Battle, with its Abbey, and Rye, with antique shops and tea rooms, plus Royal Tunbridge Wells is well worth a visit.

With many quaint, seaside and market towns, historic sites and miles of glorious coastline to explore, Sussex has it all for a great holiday destination.

Booked this property for my elderly parents, perfect for their needs. Gorgeous garden with direct access to beach, walk in shower, clean and well equipped and a very comfortable bed, they absolutely loved it.

The welcome we received from the owner was exemplary. She has designed and created a beautiful place for us to rest whilst on holiday. We have already recommended it to friends and all being well will book it once again for ourselves in May 2017.

Herbrand House was in a lovely seaside location. It was a modern accommodation; with lovely gardens. We also had a lovely welcome from the owner. What more do you want from a summer holiday by the sea?

The cottage was perfect, well laid out, good quality furniture and fittings, nothing had been overlooked or scrimped on in the preparation of this cottage. There was a fabulous garden to sit over looking the beach. The owner was helpful and there if needed, not that we had any problems, they were happy to advise on attractions in the area. I Would be happy to recommend this cottage and we would like to stay there again myself.

One of the best holiday cottages we have ever stayed in - it was very stylish and comfortable, with lovely welcoming touches. The owner was very friendly and considerate. The delightful garden has views of the sea and direct access to the pebble beach. Highly recommended.

This has to be the best holiday cottage we have stayed at. The owner has put a lot of thought into the cottage. The kitchen was brilliantly equipped and everything else in the cottage was to a very high standard. The location was amazing. The owner was very friendly and helpful and her garden was fabulous! We will be coming again one day!
