Reviews

The cottage has everything you need for a perfect self catering holiday. Lovely and clean and modern. Cannot fault a thing. Outside lovely patio, used for all our meals, nice grassy lawn area for the sun loungers, which we used. Gravel area with nice potted plants. The view of surrounding area is breath taking. The sound of the birds song and sheep bleating are the only thing to disturb the absolute peace and tranquillity of the location. Visited Lake Vrynwy, Llanfair Careinion, Meifod and Welshpool, all with a few miles of the cottage. The Hot Tub was welcomed after walking each day - to sit and relax was just what we needed, recharge our batteries and try to star gaze but in June the evening sky was just too light. Need to come back when the evenings are slightly darker sooner. This cottage has now set the standard for any that we look for but hopefully we'll be back to this one when we can. The owner, Arwell, was very welcoming and friendly and the home made cakes on arrival were delicious and such a nice touch. Thank you for everything.

Visited Bwthyn Ty Newydd in December 2017 as part of a booking with the adjoining larger property, which combined gives a total of 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. The small cottage itself is let separately from the main house and is suitable for 2 people and one of the cosiest places we have ever stayed in. The owners bring new meaning to the word friendly, without living in your pocket, but are only a few minutes away if ever needed and they regularly check the temperature of the hot tub and top-up the water level if needed. We've had clear skies and with very little light pollution the view of the stars are amazing. A wood burner just adds to the overall homely feel of the place. Very highly recommended and we will become frequent visitors here.

Me and my partner booked this week away just to spend a bit of time together. On arrival we were greeted by Arwell, the owner and shown around the cottage and how to work things such as the log burner and the hot tub and after that he pretty much left us to enjoy our holiday, He was always on hand to check the hot tub and was around if we needed him. The cottage was well equipped with all the things you could need with the added extras such as iron etc. The homemade scones and milk for a brew on arrival were a nice touch too. The cottage was basically in the middle of nowhere and we were surrounded by fields and sheep. It was beautiful and serine, the perfect week to relax, eat and drink to our hearts content. There's not much around in the local vicinity but this wasn't an issue as we were well prepared, Welshpool is about 30 minutes away if you do wish to venture, but this wasnt what this break was about for us. We will 100% be going back!!!!

Me and my partner booked this cottage for a week. High standard, super cosy cottage. What a treat to be in such a beautiful and remote area. The hut tub was fantastic and the wood burner was equally so! One of the most memorable parts of our holiday was the fabulous owner arwel. He was extremely helpfull and he looked after us brilliantly. We wish him every success in his business. Please book everyone you will love it !

We stayed here for a long weekend and it was fantastic. The cottage itself was great, very comfortable and a mix of rustic and modern combined. The hot tub was great and the scones upon arrival was a nice touch

The country side was defiantly peaceful and relaxing along side with the views. The accommodation was excellent couldn't really fault it. The owner is brilliant, nothing too much trouble and he is defiantly one of the best we've come across so far.

Owner was contactable and present when we arrived to show us around and explain how things worked. The fire had also been lit to take the chill off. The hot tub was clean and very nice. The whole cottage was great, as first ever guests there was nothing we could fault, and would happily return. The surrounding area was great and this location is very secluded.

We stayed here for 3 nights and had a fab time. It was the first time the cottage had been let but all we needed was there. Scones and milk upon arrival was a welcome touch.
