The small Welsh market town of Rhayader has a selection of tea rooms, pubs, restaurants, amenities and unique little boutiques. The town has the added bonus of a leisure centre with a large swimming pool and a weekly livestock market. The Red Kite Feeding Station, on the outskirts of the town is a great attraction and it's not to be missed.
Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.
Our family of 5 stayed in the bungalow for a week and found it excellent. It Is a few minutes from the town centre, with places to eat and drink but is also so quiet that we loved sitting out in the lovely back garden and watching the red kites. The bungalow was well maintained and very clean and tidy. The kitchen was full of plates, cups etc and although we didn't make a main meal in the kitchen there was all the equipment you would need. The welcome pack from the owner was so thoughtful. Rhayader is a really well located town, we had a trip to the beach at Aberystwth; to the national showcaves near Bangor along with a lovely trip to Ludlow and some of the local welsh towns like Llandrindod wells and Welshpool along with visiting the Elan Valley dams.
What a lovely bungalow. It is really nicely equipped and very comfortable. The garden is especially lovely and private. I would agree with the previous comment about the freezer and pump for the shower. The bungalow is in a fantastic location with some lovely walks from the doorstep. For more challenging and longer walks you only need to drive about 20 minutes. Definitely hope to go back to this one!
Arrived Saturday with the family, plus our Cocker Spaniel. Was expecting a dated bungalow, however, was amazed when walked through the door. Spacious, immaculately clean, modern and eye pleasing property. Bedrooms are of a lovely size, with beautiful clean bedding. Such comfy pillows and mattresses, which is such a bonus compared to other places we've stayed. The kitchen is modern and in a lovely colour scheme. The only thing missing would be a freezer, which if lost for space, could have been placed in the garage, which is accessible from the property. Wonderful having two bathrooms, although the water pressure is a little low on the hot water, and could do with a pump to speed it up a little, although the bathrooms are decorated very well. The garden room is wonderful, and it was lovely having a separate tv in the garden room, so that my two teenagers could catch up on their programmes in the evening, whilst we watched something more mind taxing than Love Island. The country garden is to die for - huge compared to ours, and my little Cocker Spaniel thinks he's died and gone to heaven, we have trouble getting him to come in - so much space to play out there. and table with chairs at top and bottom of garden for us. Plenty of parking in the front garden, which is gated. Also the added bonus of wi-fi that works, which is great. If I could package this bungalow and garden, and take it home, I would. It is quite a long and windy road drive to most attractions, but the bungalow is perfect for relaxing in.
