Firstly the positives, the view from living room and bedroom are great even on a cloudy day looking straight across to Sennon Cove. The property itself was very clean and tidy and first impressions was great. Kitchen is small but was adequate for staying a couple of nights for the 2 of us. We walked down to the beach below via the instructions given in the welcome folder, lovely beach and wasn’t a bad walk down but at the bottom you have to navigate over rocks to get to the sand / sea. Now for the not so positive unfortunately. The settee and chair aren’t that comfortable to sit on, the heating worked and you could turn it up from the rad but it didn’t radiate out so we felt cold just sitting about that’s even with blankets we brought with us and a hot water bottle there was a real draught. The sliding door out to the balcony was sticking and I thought I was going to make it come off it’s runner so let me husband open it which he struggled to start with but then managed it, I still had trouble with the catch. The bed wasn’t comfortable, I don’t know if it was the mattress topper but every time one person turned it rustled, the quilt was very thin I can understand it for summer months but it’s still cold so would of thought it should have a winter duvet. 4 pillows only 1 had a pillow protector ? The quilt cover also had a hole looked liked the seam had come undone and it also looked too big for the actual quilt. The window bracket in the bedroom was really quite rusty in the bottom corner as well. The bathroom was freezing, it did have a towel rail but that has seen better days and was old, dis coloured and rusty. The shower though the water was hot but the power of it so weak. Obviously you have to have H&S in the way of the emergency light in the hall way but you have to shut the bedroom door at night as it just shines in there, unfortunately if you were a party of 3 or 4 and had to sleep on the sofa bed in the lounge you would get disturbed as there isn’t any door to be able to shut it out. A couple of windows don’t know if the seal has gone but they are cloudy. As there a few properties on the plot that get rented out I am not sure there is enough space for all the cars if they were all occupied we parked by The Lookout steps car just about fitted without getting in the way but there were 3 cars by the large house on the second day and they had a Tesco delivery which then couldn’t turn round or reserve thought it was going it hit our balcony then reserve into our car, one of the people came out and moved their vehicle so it could turn round in the end. The decking could do with a clean up and the sad looking chair and the table on there look like they have seen better days. It’s such a shame it has to write such a lot of negative things as we were so looking forward to staying here.
