A perfect base for friends and families wishing to explore this wonderful area. You will feel at home as soon as you enter this delightful property which is full of home comforts and modern conveniences. The cottage has everything you could ask for, with two well-furnished bedrooms and a bathroom with a bath and shower over. The comfortable sitting room boasts a comfy sofa bed to provide flexible sleeping arrangements, a wall-mounted fire place and dining area. This room is ideal for relaxing in front of the TV after a day spent walking the surrounding countryside. You can bring the outdoors in as French doors open to the enclosed garden with decking area, a fantastic place to gather the group together to enjoy a barbecue in the evenings. From your doorstep you are a very short walk from all the amenities Monmouth has to offer including shops, pubs and restaurants. Take advantage of this riverside setting and enjoy scenic walks while watching the rowing boats pass by. Try the many outdoor activities available nearby including golf courses and superb routes for walking and cycling. This cottage provides an ideal base for a memorable holiday.
An intriguing market town on the border between Wales and England and close to the exceptional Offas Dyke, this wonderful town combines old and new, from the old castle ruins to the vibrant weekly market. Located at the confluence of 3 rivers the Wye, the Monnow and the Trothy, it is an excellent base to enjoy river boating, scenic walks and a little shopping too, or to sit and relax on the edge of the river and watch the rowers who regularly race and practise their skills.

We stayed at this lovely house from 2nd July to 9th July. This is a very comfortable, spotlessly clean and well equipped property that has been excellently maintained by the owner. It is very close to the town centre of Monmouth. We were very thankful to the lovely owner Elizabeth who had provided us with milk for tea and cakes on our arrival. This was most welcome after a 200 mile drive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would return again. Monmouth and the surrounding countryside is great with lots of nice places to visit.
The location of the cottage was perfect: a five minute walk into Monmouth and easy access to the A40. It was a beautiful place and very comfortable.
