A warm and welcoming feel is most certainly evident as you enter this spacious cottage. It is also clear that the property has been lovingly refurbished, with contemporary furnishings seamlessly combined with many original features, such as exposed beams. On the first floor, the two lovely bedrooms, one double and one twin, ensure you wake up refreshed, and theres also a delightful bathroom and the added benefit of a dressing room for all those holiday clothes. The superb country kitchen has a dining table to seat all guests, ideal for catching up with friends over dinner, after which you can relax in the pleasant sitting room which boasts sumptuous sofas and a charming fireplace, housing a warming open fire. The rear garden can be accessed from the kitchen and the sitting room and offers a lovely patio area with furniture for alfresco dining with the family, as well as loungers, for relaxing on a summer's afternoon in the sunshine. The garden boasts a well-stocked fish pond and a splendid original well, as well as a small garage for locking away bikes and fishing gear, and an external tap offering both hot and cold water, ideal for washing your dogs muddy paws after a long walk in the countryside. you can buy local provisions from the supermarket in Bidford on Avon. Visitors to the Cotswolds have long treasured memories of charming towns and villages built from the famous honey-coloured stone, it now boasts a thriving community of contemporary artists working from studios and shops throughout the area.
Booked through Sykes and definitely the best one we have stayed in. Little touches made it feel five star and our 10 month old Cocker Spaniel thought it was wonderful! Being so dog friendly makes a real difference and meant we were able to relax. The village is small but the people were incredibly friendly. Within a couple of hours of getting there we were already planning on when we could come back.
