Unfortunately we were beyond disappointed. On the day of arrival we were already 90 mins late but the owner advised that he had just painted the shower room floor and could we not use the toilet. After a 3 hour drive not ideal. Tiny...not as big as my garage. Not a bedroom but a studio. Broken kitchen doors and drawers. It said SKY TV but only a firestick. Patio door hadn't got a safety stopper so we both caught our hands in it. Luckily no medical intervention required. The photos show a window and conservatory...which we thought was ours..not the case it was next doors so no privacy in the courtyard where the hot tub was situated. I have made a 14 pointed complaint to the booking company but to mo avail. Bed was broken supported by some wood. No space at all. Three portable heaters therefore having to move stuff to do stuff.

Stayed at Smithy Cottage in March. Owners extremely helpful and friendly so everything clear on where to find things on arrival. Lovely clean accommodation with everything you needed. Best hot tub we have had, warm and so relaxing. Had our two dogs with us and it was ideal having the enclosed safe garden. Dogs settled very quickly. Nice beach area and good fish and chip shop. Locals we came across very friendly too. Would definitely recommend. We had no problem with privacy as the outdoor area is enclosed and a screen is up so neighbours can’t see in. Also heaters very efficient so we were very cosy. Would go back.

We have just spent a long weekend here. The cottage is lovely, very clean & modern and has everything there that you would need. The only downside for me was the lack of privacy when using the hot tub. People walking past are able to see you through the fence so consequently this put me off using the hot tub. It is also right in front of the window of next doors cottage, although they had their blinds closed it was still off putting knowing they could have easily opened them at any time. Although we enjoyed our stay at Smithy Cottage I would not return purely because of the lack of privacy.

We have spent a week in this amazing bungalow, it more than exceeded our expectations !! It is decorated to a very high standard and absolutely pristine. The bedding and towels were spotless and the bed so comfortable. David and Lee have thought of everything you need to make it home from home !! They made us so welcome and had even thought of leaving a welcome hamper including “ Welsh Cakes “. The bungalow was spotless throughout and so cosy. Not to mention the hot tub which we really appreciated after long walks along the stunning beach and harbour. Cemaes Bay is so beautiful and scenic with lots of walks and places to visit !! This was the best and most relaxing holiday we have had, so much so we did not want to leave. We would have definitely booked to go back later in the season but unfortunately “ Smithy Cottage “is already booked up !! We will definitely be visiting again. Thanks again David and Lee ,hope to see you soon.

What an amazing clean and well presented place we had the most relaxing holiday ever, the hot tub was a little hot but the guys who let the place was there in an instant and what great people they are, we cannot wait to return guys thank you for making our stay so memorable.

First off, you can only gain access if you’re 6ft tall having to reach over the gate to find the rusty bolt. The gate opens out onto the pavement so when leaving watch out for pedestrians! Shower was dirty, bathroom window wouldn’t close so was very cold (no heating in the bathroom). States king size double bedroom so thought it was a king size bed but it’s only a double. The 2 oil filled radiators couldn’t be moved and were not warm enough. Settee not as picture. Didn’t try the hot tub as it was only a foot away from next doors conservatory and noted visitors book had said people were looking through and you felt on show. Would not go back again.

Had a wonderful weekend in this lovely little cottage. It was clean and cosy and hosts were very helpful. Powerful shower and a hot tub that was worth braving the mini beast from the east for. Pet friendly with secure garden was a big plus for it too. Stumbling distance to shops, pub and beach. I would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet escape into bliss.

We stayed here for a week July/August 2017. Booked as a base to explore North Wales. On arrival the cottage was immaculate and very clean with everything you would need. Lovely welcome basket too. Disappointed that the hot tub was cold, especially after a 7 hour drive but upon calling the owner we were offered to use the one next door! Was hot by the next morning and was grateful for it after a day of walking. We found the bed so uncomfortable, very soft and the walls to the next cottage paper thin so every footstep and noise was heard. The other thing was the gate, found it very difficult to manoeveure to open. Had a lovely meal in The Stag but was very disappointed in the Sunday lunch at The Harbour after reading all the reviews. All in all regardless of the above Camaes was a lovely place for a week of peace and relaxation.

Smithys Cottage is just lovely. Situated just five minutes walk from the harbour with Pubs and all the shops needed for a great stay. The harbour is just lovely and everywhere is so well kept. We were greeted with a welcome hamper and the owner is very helpful and very responsive to any questions you may have. Highly recommended...:)...ohhh and don`t forget the chippy...A++ and ohhh the hot tub was a delight...xx

Location is really good for touring Anglesey, and Cemaes Bay is really lovely and is only a few minutes walk away, we found it great for walking the dogs down the river walk and onto the beach. Great chippy just down the road and a couple of dog friendly watering holes for us, locals really friendly. Everywhere you could wish to visit in Anglesey is never more than a 25 minute drive away. So many beautiful bays and beaches to visit and to top it all off, what better way than to end your day with a drop or two of your fav tipple relaxing in the fabulous hot tub, which incidentally is the best we ever had, you wont be disappointed.

Very well presented modern holiday home. We had a lovely few days in Cemaes Bay walking our dog and exploring the beautiful area. It was good to know we had a comfortable place to come back to, the bed was particularly comfortable. The owners were welcoming and friendly. All in all we would recommend this holiday to anyone wanting a comfortable base for exploring this lovely area.
