A wonderful double-fronted, end-terrace character cottage located a two minute walk away from the centre of the delightful seaside resort of Aberdovey. Situated on the southern fringe of the Snowdonia National Park, Aberdovey offers a lovely colourful harbour, long sandy beach and the wonderful estuary; ideal for open water swimming, watersports and exhilarating walks. The cottage offers a welcoming and cosy coastal holiday home and is perfect for couples, friends or a family. Decorated and furnished to a good standard in a coastal theme, this cottage successfully blends modern comforts with some vintage and retro styling. The inviting sitting room is light and boasts a dining area, exposed beams and a wonderful feature fireplace with exposed stone, which houses a warming woodburning stove, creating a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere for all the family. The galley-style and slightly irregular shaped kitchen adds to the charm and appeal of this delightful cottage and the downstairs cloakroom will come in handy! Upstairs are three comfortable bedrooms, with lots of built-in cupboard space and lovely oak bedroom furniture and a luxury tiled shower room is situated next to the bedrooms and includes a shower enclosure with rainshower head and handset, a heated floor, heated towel rail, sink, modern LED mirror and WC. To the rear of the cottage is a small enclosed yard with table and chairs, ideal at the end of a busy day to just sit and unwind before the evening. Aberdovey plays host to numerous watersports, including sailing and sailboarding, go fishing or hop on one of the many boat trips on offer and watch the summer regatta. Take the children crabbing, they’ll love it! Alternatively enjoy a chilled glass of something in one of the harbour and waterfront bars, or take afternoon tea at one of the many tea rooms. The area is surrounded by stunning views, walks and cycle routes and is littered with attractions. Within a short walk from the cottage you can explore the four miles of sand dune backed beaches that stretch up to the northern town of Tywyn. Here you can take a trip on the Tal-y-Llyn Railway, or walk to the top of the majestic mountains that rise from the estuary. Slightly further afield discover historic Machynlleth, the fascinating Centre for Alternative Technology, the exciting King Arthur's Labyrinth, all worth a visit and of course, the Cader Idris mountain range. Many return to Aberdovey year after year, as it is such an ideal place to relax or use as a base to explore the wild and rugged west side of Wales. One thing is sure, this welcoming coastal cottage is ideal for a traditional seaside holiday or simply a romantic break at any time of the year.

This cottage is just perfect in every way, location, size and everything provided you could possibly need. We are still here and will be very sad to leave. The beds are also extremely comfy. 5 min walk to the beach, 2 min walk to pub and shops There is a railway track behind but it didn't bother us. So good in fact, we'll be back later in the year

We were lucky enough to stay at Kynaston Cottage, which is in the perfect location to explore the beautiful Aberdovey. The cottage has everything a family could need, it’s comfortable, clean and situated right in the heart of the town making it easy to pop back from the beach or take a quick walk out to collect a takeaway or ice cream! Unlike many other properties, Kynaston has a parking space right outside and a rear courtyard, which is a sun trap in afternoon and perfect to dry wetsuits and towels. The beds were really comfortable and we left feeling relaxed and refreshed, thoroughly recommended.

Just returned from a lovely week in Aberdovey. Beautiful beach, lots of dog friendly pubs and cafes. Coast Deli and dining just down the street from the cottage was delicious. Matt, the owner, pointed us in the right direction for my son to even get a little surfing in. Matt was very helpful. The cottage itself was very well equipped and very clean. Altogether a lovely place.

We booked Kynaston last minute to get away for a few nights. We know Aberdovey well but have never stayed there as we usually stay in Talyllyn, but we will definitely come back to this cottage. Beautiful, clean and cosy. Had everything we could need. Owners were extremely helpful and friendly, and the location is just great. Right in the middle of the town, so just a 3-4 min stroll down a quaint little road and you’re on the beach. Highly recommended.

We had the most amazing two night break in this perfect cottage in beautiful Aberdovey. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need for a break away. It is furnished to a high standard and exceptionally clean. The owners have thought of everything you need for a perfect relaxing stay. If you are looking to get away from it all then I can highly recommend staying here. The shops, pubs and seafront are all within a few minutes walk. Many thanks to Matt, who was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with.

Fantastic cottage. Tastefully decorated and very well equipped. A short stroll to the beach and harbour, with a handful of good pubs, cafes and shops. A great location for walking, cycling or just relaxing in the beautiful seaside resort of Aberdovey. The owner, Matt, is very helpful and swiftly answers all questions and queries. Definitely a place to return to.

Great location and nicely equipped, cosy cottage. The perfect little base for us to explore the area from, wander down to the beach or the local cafes and pubs. But, should the Welsh weather decide not to play nicely as it did for one day of our stay, this is a cosy, well-equipped cottage, great to sit and work your way through the massive DVD collection in. We will be staying again.

We just got back from a week at the cottage and really enjoyed our stay. The cottage is perfectly located near the town centre, 2 mins from the main cafes and beach. The owner was extremely responsive to any requests or queries. We hope to stay again - it is great value and very homely.

Stayed here for a long weekend trip. Couldn’t fault the cottage, beds were comfortable, fantastic showers, modern kitchen, and cosy lounge with wood burning stove. Was a great base to explore the local town and surrounding coastline and mountains.

We stayed at the cottage whilst on a cycling weekend and it was perfect. The cottage is very well equipped with all the luxuries. The cottage has a boutique hotel feeling, with lovely fabrics and great decor, very comfortable, great shower, comfortable beds and it was all immaculately clean. There is car parking space outside the cottage and plenty of spaces to store the bike. I would certainly recommend to stay there as a great location if walking, cycling or just chilling and a short work to local pubs and restaurants. The kitchen is also very well equipped if you are into cooking.

Parking is in Beach Car Park a few minutes walk from House. Enclosed garden is just the path around two sides of the house. In May the sun only reached there at lunchtime. Lovely cottage just needs a little more care. Aberdovey is beautiful.

Delightful well equipped cottage. The owners have obviously gone to a lot of trouble to ensure "guests" have a very warm cosy comfy stay. & yes we would love to stay again!!

Tastefully decorated and all things considered in this pretty cottage. Minutes walk from the beach and harbour. The owner, Matt, is really helpful and answers all questions and queries promptly. Plenty of space for us all. The train line next to it you can hardly hear and only runs a max of 2 times an hour. Plenty of places to walk around the area and bike. Will definitely be back in the future. Thanks Matt for making it so enjoyable
