Cottage was very spacious just like the pictures provided very clean on arrival everything we wanted had great fun on the pool table & plenty of board games provided, good ocation not that far from any places to visit, there's some great local resturants & pubs within a few miles drive we would definately book here again
On arrival in the freezing cold NO HEATING ON ,Log burner NOT cleaned out .No Kindling or means of starting a fire .After a 7 hour drive we had to drop our luggage of to go shopping in Liskeard as there was not even a tea bag. milk or anything left for our arrival. We even had to buy logs kindling and fire lighters for the log burner ,We knew when we saw the washing up bowl the state the rest of the cottage would be in ,cupboards cutlery crockery all filthy ,had to wash everything before we could use them . Dog hairs under the beds sofa's stair case had to vac everywhere .The toilet brushes where disgusting along time since they have been cleaned need to go into the bin . Had to clean the Fridge Freezer and the bin's This place was not cleaned when we arrived We left it in a much better state of clenliness when we departed . The cupboard on the landing electric cables hanging down dangerous for children ,as the over loaded extention in the living room where the wifi is . When we stripped the bed's down as we were told to do duvet in the double room upstairs looked like the mice had been nesting inside it full of hole's . They definatley want to have this place deep cleaned what the cleaners have been doing throughout the lockdown is anybodies guess We received an e mail from SYKES COTTAGES asking us to leave the cottage in the same state as we had found it there is NO way that was going to happen this is our first expirience of hiring a cottage from Sykes at a cost of £643 for the week we won't be doing it again . There is nothing that has been left in this cottage fit for purpose . If you need proof i have photos to send to you as i am unable to upload them due to my age 78 years i am not computer savvy .
A great holiday house with everything we needed. The house was very spacious and the pool table was good fun. The house is located in a peaceful and rural location. There are farms opposite the house. The road leading down to the house is a track. The outdoor private decking area is nice for sitting out on a nice day. It's great that the house is dog friendly but you need to keep on your dog out on the outdoor decking area so that they don't jump over the top as the fence isn't very tall. The beds were alright. The broadband connection was very slow but no fibre broadband services are available there so that can't really be helped. The house is about a 15 minutes drive away from Looe. There is a Spar convinience store in Pelynt which is about a 10 minutes drive and a Morrisons supermarket in Liskeard about a 15 minutes drive away. The best dog friendly beach we found was Par Sands Beach PL25 5DS which is about a half an hour drive away.
