Spittal 2 miles. A quaint former cart house, lovingly converted into a cosy cottage, on the non-working farmyard adjacent to the owner’s property near the village of Spittal. Surrounded by the stunning Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and close to pretty local villages, the cottage is a perfect base for families or friends looking to enjoy the area to the full, while having a cosy retreat to return to at the end of the day. The cottage is set all on the ground floor with two comfy bedrooms, one with an en-suite and a separate family bathroom. There is a lovely farmhouse-style kitchen with a welcoming Rayburn ideal for giving the kitchen a real farmhouse feel whilst sitting around the dining table. In the adjoining utility you will find further cooking facilities where you can prepare a delicious meal to be enjoyed by the whole group. There is a separate sitting room with doors leading onto the patio, perfect to relax in front of the TV after a day spent exploring the area. Outside, you can unwind in the lawned garden that wraps around the property or sit on the patio and enjoy a barbecue supper with a glass of something cool after combing the beaches of South Wales. There is fabulous countryside in all directions and you are close to the Llys-y-Fran reservoir, great to enjoy a picnic, maybe take out a rowing boat or enjoy the walking and cycle trails. You are ideally placed to explore the wonderful coastline of St Brides Bay and the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park with its beautiful sandy beaches of Broad Haven and Little Haven or perhaps take a surf board out on the popular stretch of water at Newgale. Why not take a short drive to the fabulous Oakwood Theme Park or all-weather Blue Lagoon, within 15 miles, for a day of fun for all the family? The area offers numerous outdoor activities such as wildlife watching boat trips, wildlife and fun parks, horseriding, as well as being close to fantastic walks and cycle trails. Less than 25 miles will take you to the tiny city of St Davids with its striking cathedral or head out for the day and catch a boat to the lovely island of Skomer to witness incredible wildlife including Atlantic Puffins, Manx Shearwaters or find out about the Skomer Vole. Lovely comfortable self catering property all on one floor, exactly as described with comfortable beds at the end of a long days sightseeing. Provides an excellent base to visit all the Pembrokeshire attractions. A week was never enough! Friendly knowledgeable owners and even friendlier cats!
