The cottage was very nice , views where lovley had a nice time. Unfortunately while we where there storm Catherine hit us. Facilities where ok some things need attention 1, Towels where far to small for a adult let alone a child far to small. 2, Knives and forks need replacing when using them the handles dig into your hands 3, Bunk bed mattress need replacing can feel the springs when trying to sleep on it. 4, Need to speak to whom ever does the cleaning as there was dog hairs on floors in conservatory and dog nose marks on conservatory doors . 5, Bed linen needs replacing as bobbley and ruff on skin.
DISAPPOINTED AND DISGUSTED That the owner had offered (and promised in WhatsApp message to me) that he would provide a dog crate for our puppy. Upon arrival we discovered no dog crate had been provided and had to start our holiday getting one. NEGATIVES 1)The knives and potato peeler were blunt. Need sharpening or replacing. 2) Bigger saucepans needed. 3) No egg cups to eat boiled eggs out of. 4) The write up says the garage could be used to store bikes in etc and that deck chairs could be borrowed for the beach. The garage was locked and no key. This is false advertising. 5) Grass was extremely long and unkept. A bit longer than a few days of rain. 6) All doors and windows stiff. 7) Ground light outside left broken on the ground - we took it inside so nobody could hurt themselves on it. Could have cut a dogs paw or hurt a child as sharp. 8) Bulb out in family bathroom. 9) Drawer stuck in family bathroom. 10) Wardrobe needed in double bedroom. 11) Dishwasher door needs adjusting. 12) Blind at window needed in en-suite bathroom. 13) Loo roll holders needed in both bathrooms. 14) No information leaflets on places to go and see. POSITIVES 1) Beds comfortable. 2) Sofas, Conservatory Furniture and kitchen chairs comfortable. Decent table. 3) Bungalow extremely clean, modern and welcoming and good lighting. 4) Welcome pack a nice gesture. 5) Nice big drive. 6) Lovely sea view. 7) A good base to stay to enjoy the beautiful island. OVERALL The owner does need to address the above negatives and not break promises when he offers to provide something needed. Such a lovely property spoilt by things that could be put right so very easily.
