Reviews

What an amazing place. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rose Cottage. The setting idyllic with a lovely walk to the river and a great 'foodie' Sunn Inn nearby. The accomodation was the perfect blend of old world style in a fully new, clean, warm renovated building. Excellent facilities, plenty of space for our party of 6. Great to have 2 bathrooms and a downstairs toilet. Garden was amazing to play lawn games. Had BBQ facilities if you needed it, a lovely woodburner that we didn't use but would be great in cold weather. All other equipment (eg kitchen) was more than adequate. Best of all Sharon the host was excellent....provided us everything we needed, responded almost immediately to any question and provided us a few welcome surprises that added to a lovely holiday experience. We will be back again!

WOW WOW WOW. Just as described and didn't let us down in anyway. This stunning cottage is located in the village of Winforton, near Hereford. The cottage easily accommodated my family of 5 in the three large bedrooms, which comprised off a king-size double with en-suite facilities, a twin bedroom and a ground floor twin which was converted into a king-size double on our request. There is a large family bathroom and a ground floor basin and wc. The rest of the cottage is made up of a kitchen with dining area contained within the beautiful conservatory and a sitting room with a woodburning stove. The external of the property had adequate off road parking, a separate laundry area which houses a washing machine, tumble drier and heated drying cupboard. The cottage also has a fully enclosed lawned gardens with patio and a picnic bench. The cottage has all the comforts of home; from a fully controllable air heat source central heating system with underfloor heating on the ground floor and a wood burning stove in the living room (We were desperate to try this out but the weather just wasn't cold enough!). The kitchen comes fully kitted out with cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, Smart TV with Freeview, WiFi, selection of books and games. A stunning welcome pack was left for us, packed with excellent local produce. We thorougly enjoyed using the cottage as our base to explore the surrounding area from and would definately recommend it to others.

Fabulous! This cottage superbly combines modern living with the warmth of traditional. Add to that a superb peaceful location with stunning views and a decent pub 2 minutes walk away, we could ask for little more. Wonderful communication with the owner prior to the start of our break was reassuring, and when we reported a very minor issue (the plug in the cloakroom sink not operating), it was fixed within hours. Highly recommended.

The house is 5 star and has everything you need for a comfortable time away. The location is perfect with stunning views and of course the neighbouring sheep and lambs, a big hit with our teenagers!! We were very lucky with the weather so the heating didn't kick in, but we did have to experience the log burner on our last night, just because we could!! The only "negative" is no phone signal and the inhouse wifi was very intermittent. Thank you Sharon and Stephen for the welcome drinks and cake
