Coleford 1.25 miles. A heart-warming barn conversion, part of a Grade II listed building, near the village of Coleford, decorated in natural stone walls, oak beams, and flagstone floors. Discover the beautiful open-plan lounge, the floral patterned sofas, reclining chairs and floor rug tie the layout together well. Close by, a compact kitchen is graced in an oak finish, while a separate dining room features a glass panelled door which opens up onto the terrace area with views over the open fields and out to the forest. There is also a sofa bed on hand should you wish to invite along extra guests, and a contemporary high quality bathroom to finish the ground floor. This lodge has two centrally heated double bedrooms, both with original beams, stone walls and a sloping ceiling. Note: This property can be booked with Refs. 943807, 943808 and 966152, together they can sleep up to 26 people.

The Royal Forest of Dean is England's largest oak forest and is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The forest offers numerous trails that can be explored on foot, by bicycle or by horseback. Close to Coleford is the town of Lydney which sits on the banks of the River Severn and is in an area that is a delight for birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts. Just a short drive away, in the historic waterfront city of Gloucester.
