Visitors to the Cotswolds have long treasured memories of charming towns and villages built from the famous honey-coloured stone, it now boasts a thriving community of contemporary artists working from studios and shops throughout the area.
Almost there in as much as it is relatively cheap and it wouldn't take much to improve things. It is quite basic and some replacements wouldn't go amiss - just enough though for two or three people. It wasn't overly clean when we arrived, we needed to wipe down surfaces and handles in the kitchen area. The gas lighter was broken and only short matches supplied which meant that lighting the oven was a bit of a challenge to the fingers. The steps to the property could do with a rubber mat as they are dangerous when wet particularly as the outside lights are not working. My biggest gripe about the site is that phone and wi-fi signals are poor to non existent on "three" and "Vodafone" permanent residents have installed a land line. Unlike previous contributors we found the beds firm but comfortable. The pub at the entrance to the site was closed and undergoing a refit under new ownership so ignore any earlier somewhat mixed reviews. The owners of the chalet were very nice and helpful and I hope that they take my points as positive feedback. I booked through Sykes but I have to say that I will not deal with them again.
