Well-furnished throughout, this elevated cottage provides upside down accommodation for friends and families wishing to explore some of the most stunning areas in this part of the country. This unique cottage oozes character, with stone flagged floors and latch doors whilst upstairs the open plan living space has a vaulted ceiling, beams and a cosy woodburning stove, ideal for those chilly winter nights. Downstairs are two bedrooms, one benefiting from an en-suite shower room, as well as a separate bathroom. Just over four miles away is the historic town of Appleby, situated on the Eden River and where you can take a ride on the Settle-Carlisle Railway. The Appleby-in-Westmorland Jazz festival that takes place in July is a popular attraction. Walkers should head to Dufton Fell and the Pennine Way to take in the breathtaking scenery plus with the village of Pooley Bridge and the town of Penrith close by, this makes Dufton an ideal base.
