Reviews

A very comfortable and cosy spot, fully equipped with high standard white goods including Prime TV. Situated in a small village with a lovely local but within easy reach of stunning beaches and the beautiful Cheviots. The Welcome Pack left for us and our dog was much appreciated. If you are looking for a quiet getaway with the opportunity to easily explore the great outdoors then I would highly recommend this property.

Robin House is in a good location for getting around the sites of Northumberland. The village has quite good amenities i.e. a pub, shop and pizzeria. Regarding the property itself, we did have a bit of a problem finding it as the house sign 'Robin House' is on the side of the house and not the front i.e. not visible from the road. Inside the house it was clean and always very warm. Facilites were good but we could have done with a washing up bowl as the sink plug didn't always fit and water escaped! The large bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable but there was a shelf above it and on three occasions I banged my head whilst making the bed! Overall we had a good stay and the weather was very good.

We had a wonderful stay at Robin House, the cottage was clean, warm and cosy even in chilly February. The  enormous windows were perfect for enjoying the stunning sunrises and sunsets. Our host was helpful and quick to reply to our queries. Lucker is a lovely place. The heated pool and spa at Beau Monde are top notch, we booked a few days ahead and for £10 this was a luxurious bargain! The Apple Inn is a very attractive pub with friendly staff two log burners and tasty battered fish and chips. Co-op in Seahouses is 10 mins by car with seaside views on the way. As National Trust members we had Cragside and Dunstanburgh Castle near by - great for holiday photos! We took a road trip up the coast taking in Bamburgh, Budle Bay and Beal. Beal had a great café called Beal Barn with panoramic views across to Lindisfarne. We found Cocklawburn Beach, with beautiful sand and finished our tour in Berwick-upon-Tweed. Robin House is our first experience of Northumberland, which we found to be a fantastic base to tour the area, with still so much to see. Thank you for a relaxing holiday.

Had a wonderful stay at Robin House, first week in January. Welcomed with chocolates and wine, and numerous visits during the week by the resident robin. Warm, fully equipped, plus guides for places to visit (not all open in January alas). Spotlessly clean and more spacious than you might imagine. Ideal for visits to Bamburgh, Alnwick and the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, if you read the tide times correctly! Would highly recommend this cottage.

This is a really lovely holiday cottage that met expectations in every way. Much nicer inside than the somewhat austere impression you might get from the outside. Very quiet, lovely views over the fields, very clean and well equipped.

This perfectly located, pet-friendly, clean, well-equipped accommodation was exactly what we needed. Located just a few miles from Banburgh and a wonderful sandy, pet-friendly beach. The view from the rear window was amazing when we stayed, the fields were in full bloom and the rapeseed plants were a stunning sea of yellow flowers. There are many walks straight from the door, I took our dog a different way every time I walked him, He loved it and wanted to come home as much as we didn't :-) He would be digging up the beach now if we would have let him. The cottage has everything you need for a pleasant stay, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, dryer, microwave, oven, TV, hair dryer, you name it and it seemed to have the lot, including a selection of books and games. Lucker is a pleasant friendly village with a pub, village shop and reasonably priced pizza restaurant, all you need for your stay. We fully intend to go back

Robin House is a lovely place to stay. It is very clean, well equipped and in a pretty, quiet village which is very convenient for Seahouses and Bamburgh. The owner was helpful and welcoming and we would definitely stay there again if we were to revisit this lovely part of the country.

We loved our stay at Robin Cottage on the outskirts of the quiet village of Lucker just 10 minutes drive from Bamburgh. The house was spotlessly clean with a fresh homely feel and an excellent base for exploring Northumberland, or if you fancy it a visit to Edinburgh which is an hour and a half away.

Robin House is a well equipped and spotlessly clean holiday cottage in the picturesque Lucker village. Only a short drive (or long walk!) to the beaches at Bamburgh and Seahouses and you're also well placed to explore the Farne Islands. In cases of bad weather or tired legs, Robin House is so warm and comfy you won't want to leave! Hope to go back soon.
