2 Bryn Eglwys is a former quarryman's cottage located in Prenteg, near Porthmadog, in North Wales. You do not have to venture far to take in your surroundings as you are within walking distance to the Welsh steam train and the Welsh Osprey Centre, there is a park across the road for the children, a 3-waterfall walk on the doorstep and Aberdunant Hall, where they serve amazing homemade food and excellent local beers, is only a short stroll away. The cottage provides a light, airy and extremely welcoming accommodation, set across two floors. Step into the lovely lounge area with its newly fitted carpets, and plush charcoal and blue sofas, where you sit and relax after a long day sightseeing. Enjoy the benefits of the flat screen TV, Wii and DVD player, with plenty of DVDs and Wii games on-hand to keep you entertained the whole trip. Choose from the selection of books, curl up on the sofa and get lost in a fictional adventure, with the cosy woodburning stove to ensure you stay warm. Move towards the open-plan kitchen and dining area with seating for up to six people. Gather around the table with your home cooked meals, or sit together and plan the day's events. The kitchen is in a wonderful countryside fitting, with its lovely pale blue and cream units and new worktops. Upstairs, you will find three spacious bedrooms: one double, one twin and one single with a separate modern bathroom. Choose from a warm bath or use the separate shower cubicle to prepare for your day in style. There is parking in the free car park opposite the property. .Access to the front is via 4 steep steps leading to a sloping path up to the house. Or you can access the rear of the property via a road that leads up a short hill to the rear of the house and several steps down to the back door. Outside has a spacious, sloped, lawned garden and a terrace patio area with table and chairs provided, with stunning views across the hamlet and surrounding countryside fields. The Welsh steam train stops at Pont Croesor which is a short stroll from the property - you can hear the distant whistling of the train. The property is also in close proximity to Snowdonia, the Llyn Peninsula and Beddgelert, with many walking trails, rock climbing faces and cycle paths in the surrounding area. Beddgelert is a beautiful village, a must see on your visit, with lovely walks, amazing ice cream and little shops.Learn the legend of Gelert whilst you take in your surroundings.The short walk is also pushchair friendly. Beddgelert itself is home to the Sygun Copper Mine, which was closed in 1903 and has self-guided audio and visual tours, so the whole family can explore the caves at their leisure. This property is also a good base for walking up Snowdon, rock-climbing the popular rock face near the Eric Jones climbers café in nearby Tremadog and experiencing the adventures that can be encountered at Zipworld in Blaenau Ffestiniog, including Titan: Europe’s largest zipping zone, the Caverns: A unique underground adventure course and Bounce Below: an underground net adventure playground for 7yrs plus. It’s a must-see destination on your visit to Prenteg. 2 Bryn Eglwys is ideally located for a lovely family holiday in the magnificent Welsh countryside, close to several picturesque sandy beaches.

Prenteg is a cosy hamlet in Gwynedd, Wales and is surrounded by the magnificent views of Snowdonia National Park. Four miles away is the coastal town of Porthmadog, which has developed since the 19th century and is not a major tourist destination for its shopping centre. With easy access to many neighbouring towns and villages, Prenteg is ideally located and secluded.
