Reviews

We arrived, parked up, walked in and walked straight back out after seeing what we did. Where to start, the whole cottage was filthy, unkempt and frankly disgusting. Mould on the window sills, the shower, the walls. The stair carpet rods were exposed, the carpet was thread bare and not attached to the rods. The microwave was rusty. The bedding and towels thin, very worn and grubby. Every piece of furniture was damaged, dirty or both. The owner apparently had a carpet fitter out recently. The carpet was dangerous. The owner couldn't care less. He said we could leave with no refund. We drove 3 hours to get there. The worst we've ever been to by a long shot. This looks absolutely nothing like it does on the website.

Lovely little cottage in ideal location. Very comfortable and quaint. Ideal for two people but would be ok for 2 adults and 1child. Great for people who love to be in the heart of the beautiful Main Street.

We are just back from a fabulous week at 29 Main Street. Right in the centre of Haworth, the location is perfect, yet peaceful - far more so than I would have imagined as Main Street is the hub of Haworth. Excellent range of pubs and restaurants, plus a range of lovely, craft and bookshops plus, of course, the fascinating Bronte connection. A mere few minutes away from Penistone Hilll and the majestic, bleak moorland that screams Wuthering Heights. We didn't want to leave and we will certainly be back.

If you are planning a stay in Haworth, there can be no better location than this beautiful Grade II listed cottage, situated on the famous cobbled main street in the heart of the town. A short stroll from the front door are the main sites, including the Brönte Parsonage and the Keighley and Worth Valley Steam Railway (think Railway Children). The Main St is also served by several quality restaurants and a variety of quirky shops. The cottage itself has been tastefully restored to a very high standard and is well equipped with modern conveniences, including a good WiFi connection. We stayed over the Christmas week and the whole experience was delightful. We immediately felt at home in this warm and cozy cottage. The owners - Dave and Amy - are very friendly and welcoming without being intrusive, and were keen to ensure that we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Having experienced Haworth in the winter (and the full Yorkshire Christmas) we are already planning to come back in the summer. I can’t recommend this property highly enough.
