Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.
We stayed for a week here (4 adults, 2 dogs) and cannot fault the accommodation. The house is extremely well equipped down to having a salad spinner and bakeware in the kitchen, a good selection of board games and garden toys for children. The beds were probably the most comfortable I’ve slept in on a holiday rental and the bathroom is lovely. The only thing I can think that is lacking is a mirror in the bedroom. A few minutes walk takes you into the town one way and to the local co-op the other. Pembrey Country Park has the beautiful beach, walks through the forest and other activities. A short drive to Llanelli and you can walk the millennium coastal path and a longer drive takes you to Tenby where an island cruise is well worth it for spotting seals, puffins and other sea birds. Having fantastic weather helped but really we’ve not stayed in a better holiday rental.
We enjoyed a fantastic week at Ty'r Ystrad in August of 2016 which we found to be a perfect location for exploring local delights such as Tenby, Carmarthen and Folley Farm. The house provided ideal accomodation for a family of four although enough space for couple more and everything needed for a home away from home and relaxing stay. Kidwelly is a lovely town and with its own castle, friendly local pubs and very nice takeway very happy we chose this house for our stay.
We have stayed several times at Alstred Street, it is the perfect family haven with literally something for all ages! Myself (36) Mum (66) and 3 boys 16,10,8 have found each holiday a real family holiday with brunches on the sun trap patio, games nights in the front room and plenty of evening strolls to the stunning castle situated in the center of the town literally minutes away! If you can tear yourself away from this friendly town Pembrey Country Park is a must, breath taking beaches and the tabogon - which all the children enjoyed! The accommodation is excellent, a high standard throughout with everything you could need. We will definitely be back!
We stayed at this fantastic cottage with our two young children for a week. The cottage is excellent. It's everything you want for a family with young children. Spotlessly clean with all of the home comforts you need for a family holiday. Great to have a grassed back garden to play in. A perfect base to explore the delights of Carmarthenshire and West Glamorgan. There's so much to do to entertain everyone.
I stayed here with my partner, my 2 children aged 7 and 9, and my parents in August 2016. The house is lovely, my children said they wished we could live there all year round! Great location with shops, pubs etc within easy walking distance and plenty of attractions a short drive away. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again in future
This is a fab house located in a lovely village - central location and close to a wide variety of fab beachs and country park. The house had everything you would need for a home from home trip - well recommended.
We've stayed at this property numerous times, it really is excellent. The owners have gone above and beyond to make sure it is home from home. Kidwelly itself is a beautiful town, with good local amenities. Pembrey country park is just a short drive away, it's great for children, and you could spend all day there exploring. I would highly recommend this property, and we will definitely be visiting again in the future!
A fabulous family house with great amenities including toys for the children. Close walking distance to shops and castle. The hosts were very helpful with giving information and providing local advice for acitivities and even with a visit during a rainy half term there was plenty to entertain the family. Highly recommend.
