Walk just out of the heart of the bustling Conwy and find Sandy Shell Cottage, be immediately welcomed into the bright, crisp living diner decorated in refreshing white and other neutral, calming colours. The ground floor is complete with a modern, stylish black and white kitchen. There are a number of nautical features throughout this property emulating the seaside location that it sits. The upstairs faces you with a relaxing bathroom and a super king-size bed in a cosy, warming room dressed in neutral colours. Conwy is a beautiful Welsh seaside town set with everything you need to do and more, there is a popular castle and the town hosts a number of different festivals and fairs. Conwy offers a fantastic range of shops, pubs and restaurants all within a close proximity. There is so much to do and see around North Wales, with Snowdonia National Park within driving distance, that is a must visit whilst in this part of the country. The popular places of Llandudno and Betwys-y-Coed also sit within easy driving distance as places that offer so much. A charming cottage in a fantastic location.

Conwy is without doubt world famous for its historical and architectural heritage, but at the heart of the town lies a hub of bustling activity. Alongside its festivals and fairs, musical recitals, galleries and historical attractions, there is an array of shops, restaurants and hotels. Built for King Edward I between 1283 and 1287, Master James of St George's design, Conwy Castle remains one of the most outstanding achievements of medieval architecture. The distinctive, elongated shape, with its two barbicans, eight massive towers and a great bow-shaped hall was perhaps determined by the narrow rocky outcrop on which the castle stands. The town is proud of its historic traditions and celebrates its past by retaining many of these in its annual festivals, events and fairs, including the Honey fair, Seed fair and Gwledd Conwy Feast in October, along with other musical events throughout the year. Conwy is the perfect base for exploring the dramatic Snowdonia National Park, walking unspoilt sandy beaches, or taking in the wonderful scenery on your doorstep. Also within reach are the Llechwedd Slate Caverns, which has the longest zip wire in Europe, and Surf Snowdonia is just 6 miles away.

Reviews

Although the property is very clean it is by no means suitable for any one with any disability. It is situated at possibly the highest point in Conwy with every route in or out a mammoth climb. Access to the narrow street it is situated on is a nightmare if you have a car of any decent size forget trying to park as you would be on edge all the time that it would get damaged. This is not helped by the people a cross the way allegedly hardly ever moving their car. Admittedly the owner mentioned the stairs were steep but failed to mention the banistef doesn't go all the way up the stairs if like me you need a rail to hold then coming down is a nightmare with 3 or 4 stairs to negotiate with nothing to hold onto. Due to all this it was impossible to stay hence we had to look for accommodation in nearby Llandudno. This meant a loss of over £400 plus paying extra for alternative accommodation. All this because either the owner or Sykes the agent failed to give adequate warning. I realise this is the owners busines but a small good will gesture would have sweetened this nightmare in some way
