Reviews

This is the most comfortable lodge. High up the hill with spectacular view across the bay. Unless you are very fit, don't try to walk to the shop on site. Sunsets here are amazing. Despite being on a large park, it was so peaceful. Lots to do on site and around the area. Lodge is extremely well equipped ,Plenty of parking too.

We spent a week at this lodge in August. It was immaculately clean and superbly equipped. I spent one day on a sun bed with dragon flies flitting around and two red kites flying low, clearly displaying the most remarkable colourings on the underside of the wings and the belly. Although on a large site, the position of the lodge is such that there is no noise - just a real sense of tranquility and calm. The view from the terrace is amazing - it is simply the sea; I have paid vast amounts for sea views on various holidays but none have been much better than this one! The setting sun, from the terrace, as it dipped below the horizon into the sea was truly amazing. We did not make use of the amenities of the site other than a breakfast with my grandchildren - which was very good- and the open air cinema showing of The Greatest Showman. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lodge.

We stayed here for a week and we couldn’t have asked for a nicer lodge. The views were amazing and we felt we could just relax and unwind. The sun even shone a few days so we could spend time on the beach in Borth. The lodge was exceptionally clean and tidy and all we needed for a lovely break away. Would recommend

As lovers of Borth our family wanted somewhere that was home from home. Clearview Lodge was that. What an amazing place with the most spectacular views. To top it all off we had one of the most amazing weeks of weather that meant we could take advantage of the beach, the beautiful Welsh countryside but most importantly the veranda, sunbed, table and chairs and gorgeous setting of this lodge. Being high up on Brynowen caravan park, literally the last row of holiday homes, you were literally on top of the world, the perfect position for sunrise and oh the sunsets over Cardigan Bay and Borth below are a sight to behold. I can't comment on the site itself as my family was made up of me and my husband, my mum and dad and my brother with special needs. We've been coming to Borth for years and love the peace and quiet so the swimming pool and children's playground were not for us!! However the site was busy as were the amenities, everywhere looked clean and there were always jobs being tended to. Back to the Lodge, the double bedroom was fantastic with a walk-in wardrobe and an ensuite shower room plenty of room and storage space. The other 2 rooms have 2 single beds in each with one of them having 2 built in wardrobes and dressing table and the other a single. Everything you could need even a hairdryer. I would advise taking a few more hangers and maybe a bath mat for the shower and bath especially if you have children or are slightly infirm as they did get slippy. The beds although soft were surprisingly comfy. There is a dishwasher and a washing machine which came in very handy - Silla would it be possible to provide some sort of washing line please? For those of you who have never been to Borth before, it is a cute little seaside town, unspoilt by tourist mobs, with a handful of quaint seaside shops, a handful of pubs - the Victoria has a lovely beer terrace that faces the sunset in the evening, the Railway serves lovely well priced wholesome food and Tir - Y- Mor ice cream shop serves Kellys ice cream which is to die for!!! There is a lifeboat station and shop and Sands café is the heart of the town serving breakfasts, lunches, snacks, coffees, drinks etc. The beach at Borth is pebbly and sandy but for pure sand drive to Ynyslas. Other than Tenby in South Wales this is my favourite beach in the entire world - you'll see what I mean if you go. There is also a station at Borth where you can catch the train to Aberystwyth in one direction or up to Machynlleth, Barmouth and Phwelli in the other. There are so many places to visit - Devils Bridge, Harlech castle, Snowdon etc to name a few. Again back to the Lodge. It is obvious this is someone's home, it is so well taken care of and loved. I am really thankful that the owners feel that they can trust people like us to spend time there and treat it like our homes. It really was the perfect place in the perfect location for the perfect holiday. We had the most amazing time in Borth as we always do. We have had a quite a rough year in our family and are still going though it at the moment but it is surprising how when you cross the border into Wales and know that you're coming to Borth how that stress just disappears. Thank you Silla for allowing us to have your home for a week, it was the best holiday.

An absolutely wonderful stay! Very clean acommodation, very cosy and a lovely treat that is the hot tub. The location gives you such a beautiful view in the mornings. Would recommend anyone to stay here if you want a nice break away in West Wales by the coast.
