What a fantastic Christmas break. Ellie the hist made the superb cottage so special. The cottage has everything it was a home from home. An exceptionally clean and beautiful decor. Fantastic welcome goodies. Could not have wished for more. Very quite and secluded and great for a relax. Fantastic holiday for the dog owner. Only just got home and looking to book again. A must cottage to go and relax or walk and see the beautiful english scenery 10 out of 10

Our fourth visit to Ellie’s cottages and as always a warm welcome, spotlessly clean property and wonderful holiday. Our visit spanned two seasons, end of summer in shorts and T-shirt’s and beginning of Autumn with underfloor heating and log burner doing their thing. We adore this property for the peace and quiet and ideal location for the most beautiful part of Shropshire. Highly recommended.

Goosepond is a place everyone should stay at, at least once, but preferably more! What a wonderful place to stay, bigger than expected, so tastefully furnished with many personal touches. The Welcome Pack of items was the best, add to that the amazingly comfortable bed just makes your stay so special. Our stay was only for three nights, but wish it had been far more.

Our second visit , and even more enjoyable than the first! This time, there is much better WiFi, and we have come for a week instead of a weekend. Our lovely hostess, Ellie has been giving us advice on her favourite walks in the area, as well as supplying us with a generous amount of logs for the log burner. The Cottage is spotlessly clean, spacious and very well equipped. Highlights for us : The generous welcome hamper, the fabulously effective log burning stove, excellent shower, huge comfy bed, fluffy towels, coffee machine , great sized fridge freezer for self catering and especially welcome under floor heating. Despite some really cold, icy conditions we have been gorgeously warm and cosy. Perfect location to visit some beautiful places in the Shropshire hills whilst enjoying the tranquility of this rural gem. We have loved getting to know Church Stretton, The Long Mynd, The Stiperstones and Bishop’s Castle. Highly recommended for couples who like peace, walking and exploring this beautiful part of the world.

From the helpful and informative phone call with the owner, to the warm welcome at this beautiful country retreat - this whole experience was just wonderful. For a change, decided to spend the New Year weekend at Goosepond, was amazed at the personal touches and the warm welcome including a sumptuous festive hamper and bottle of wine, and a welcome message on the blackboard, such incredible and warm personal touches that really mean a lot. Then to the accommodation itself which is perfectly located in the most idyllic spot, surrounded with lush countryside, hills, peace and tranquillity. Gorgeously furnished to a high spec finish, incredibly clean, comfortable, warm, stylish and welcoming - didn't want to leave! Would highly recommend it, and can't wait to return ourselves.

Goosepond Cottage is one of those places which really does live up to expectations. From the first friendly email from the owner, to the minute we sadly waved goodbye, this has been a lovely experience. Following the directions given, we found the cottage (in the dark) without a problem. When we arrived, the underfloor heating had been switched on and the whole cottage was lovely and warm. What a lovely touch - the welcome hamper containing local free range eggs, butter and delicious bread, home made scones and jam and milk in the fridge. The cottage is dog friendly and is located in a tiny hamlet where numerous other dogs live in a carefree environment. Perfectly located, there are lots of walks to go on without getting in the car. The scenery in the area is beautiful, whatever the weather. The cottage is very tranquil and relaxing, in an ideal spot to explore the surrounding area of the Long Mynd, Craven Arms, Ludlow, Church Stretton and so on. Perfect for walkers and nature lovers. The cottage is very well appointed, with a cook-friendly kichen area, log burner, big fridge-freezer and a Super Kingsize bed. Piles of towels were provided, the bed was superbly comfortable, fitted with hotel quality bed linen. Free WiFi and a well-equipped TV, with Amazon FireStick for NetFlix, music, etc. This review would not be complete without mentioning the water, which is supplied from a local spring. Beautiful, soft, pure water that just tastes fantastic. Would we go back? Yes, definitely! We can't wait. Would we recommend? Absolutely. Grab yourself a little piece of rural Shropshire life.

We and our dog had a lovely 3-night break at Goosepond and will definitely be back. The cottage is beautifully decorated, comfortable and very well equipped. It's in a hamlet and well away from busy roads, so all we heard was birdsong and sheep, yet it's easy to get to Church Stretton and the Long Mynd, Ludlow, Bishops Castle etc. Plenty of good walking (including short walks from the doorstep for evening dog walks with a view!) and attractive little towns to keep us occupied. Highly recommended.

Situated in a sleepy rural hamlet , ideally located for touring this beautiful part of Shropshire, Goosepond is a superbly appointed property. Featuring spacious accommodation, all on one level, tastefully decorated with some luxury touches to make your stay special. The superbly efficient log burner brings a welcome warmth on cooler evenings, whilst the underfloor heating makes this an ideal year round holiday property. There are simply three rooms, a kitchen/diner/lounge, a bathroom and a bedroom. All rooms are attractively spacious, and are decorated with a modern fresh touch. The kitchen is well equipped for cooks, with hob, oven, generously sized fridge freezer and full sized dishwasher. The bathroom has a great shower over the bath, heated towel rail and underfloor heating. The lounge area is focussed on the lovely log burner which was delightfully easy to use. So many properties for couples are cramped and compromise on appliances and equipment, but not Goosepond. There is even a proper pull out bed underneath the super King zip and link should you require it. We found the property private and peaceful, even with other properties being close by. The warmest of welcomes from the lovely owners made us feel at home right away. Home made cakes and jam, fresh flowers, and luxury toiletries complemented our stay perfectly. Highly recommended for visiting the many attractions of this wonderful area.
