Ashbourne, at the southern end of the Peak District, is an English market town featuring a market place, an odd street pattern, small cobbled alleys, coaching inns, and almshouses. The town was a fashionable social centre in the 18th century, and many Georgian structures remain. Today, the town offers many restaurants, inns, and antique shops, but don't anticipate a deal.
