Alford is a charming market town in Lincolnshire. It is set at the foot of the Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty about 11 miles north-west of Skegness. There is a wide range of shops including a grocers and two butchers as well as a large shop which specialises in dolls houses and their contents. Alford has become an important centre for arts and crafts with many markets held throughout the year. The main market is held in the Market Place every Tuesday and Friday with the craft market being held every August as well as Christmas markets every year. Alford is known for its Grade 1 listed working windmill, which is used commercially to produce stone-ground organic flour. Alford Manor House is a central point in the town, with its exhibitions and museum as well as a tea room and open gardens.

Everything you need is here including the peaceful surroundings. Can't find anything I would change. The underfloor heating is wonderful. The wider doors and easy accessibility all through (including wet room) perfect for wheelchairs. Will recommend to friends with disability. Wonderful Pub next door. Nothing is to much trouble. Dog friendly, Bruce loved the large garden to run round, all fenced off safely. Already booked for our next stay. Can't wait.
