A modern duplex apartment with a boutique hotel feel, just a 5-minute walk from the Train and Bus Stations. Treasure Chest is well-placed for exploring Whitby on foot or discovering the nearby North York Moors, the Cleveland Way National Trail or the fossils and shipwrecks at Saltwick Bay. Child and pet-friendly, Treasure Chest can sleep up to six adults plus one baby (travel cot available on request). A rarity in Whitby, Treasure Chest has designated parking for one car within the gated car park plus free roadside parking locally. Situated over the second and third floor of a modern apartment block, Treasure Chest is ideally located, less than half a mile's stroll away from the centre of Whitby, with a pub, shop and chippy just a stone’s throw away. Enter through the second-floor entrance and off the spacious hallway you are met with a large open-plan kitchen/living/dining space, with two 3-seater sofas, a recliner chair, table with seating for six, plus a high chair available for child if needed, along with a 56” screen Smart TV, Blu-ray player and stereo. A feature mural and French doors that open onto a small balcony with table and chairs for two give this space a homely yet relaxed and airy feel. The large galley kitchen with cooking island houses all the modern conveniences you need for a self-catering seaside escape; cook dinner whilst watching TV with the family, without missing a beat! On the same floor there are two comfy double bedrooms with skylights; one a double with a TV/DVD player, one with two singles that can be zip linked together to form an indulgent super king bed, plus a large flat screen TV and Blu-ray player. There is a family bathroom with a shower over the bath, toilet and basin. Upstairs on the third floor is a sizeable master bedroom featuring a lake view wall mural with a zip/link super king bed, that can be split into twin beds for more flexible sleeping arrangements. We would highly recommend this lovely apartment. We have visited on two occasions and were drawn back largely due to the cleanliness and immaculate maintenance. It is extremely well equipped and comfortable and has the added benefit of having private and secure parking.
Have stayed in this wonderful apartment many times now, with friends, with very young grandchildren, with and without the dog and it has been perfect for all combinations! It is quiet but close to town/ harbour, the Cinder track is close by for dog walks and there is a super play park less than 5 minutes away for the little people. The hosts are lovely people who really want you to have a perfect stay. Highly recommend!
After arriving in whitby to a complete disaster the place we had originally booked was disgusting we couldn't stay there.We then found this hidden gem wow wow wow absolutely fantastic everything you need and more the decor is stunning the beds are massive decorated to such a high standard private parking.The welcome treasure chest of goodies was amazing once you've booked to stay here you won't book anywhere else we'll done we loved it
Just returned from a weekend stay at the Treasure Chest. I can highly recommend this property.The standard of the accommodation is excellent ,it provides everything you could possibly need for an enjoyable and relaxing stay.It is spotlessly clean and the owners maintain this property to the highest of standards. An added bonus is the on site parking and the fact that it is only a 10 minute walk into the town. Don't just take my word for it book to stay there you won't be disappointed
Just returned from a brilliant break at Treasure Chest, Whitby. We were highly delighted with 'everything'. The apartment is duplex, and of a 'boutique' nature, but still offers that 'home from home' atmosphere, with every need catered for. All fixtures, fittings and appliances are of a very high quality and everything is spotlessly clean. The property is a steady 10 minute walk away from all the shops, restaurants and amenities in Whitby itself. The Abbey Wharf restaurant offers sublime fish and chips and on certain evenings even offers entertainment! What more could you ask! Many thanks to the owners who are so very helpful and go that extra mile to make your stay special.
Although this was our last trip, we have stayed here 4 times before. Having researched possible alternatives, we have come to the conclusion that there is simply nothing better than this apartment, so we have booked a further 3 holidays this year ! Thank you Treasure Chest, you’re brilliant !
We have stayed at this property five times to date, the apartment is very well presented, equipped and comfortable, especially the beds. Close to attractions of Whitby. The owners ensure high standards are maintained and the finishes touches that they provide always ensure we have a fabulous stay at The Treasure chest.
Just back from a long weekend at Treasure Chest after having to cancel twice. Craig and Mandy were so helpful over our difficulties and so flexible with our arrangements. Communication is excellent and Treasure Chest itself is faultless. Spotlessly clean, quality fittings/fixtures and so many extras and thoughtful touches. Location is brilliant too. We will certainly be back.
Just had a week's stay at treasure chest, what a fantastic well equipped apartment, plenty of space, we were rattling around (just the two of us and our dog) great location to town centre (5mins walk) always good to have parking on site (secured too) we were fortunate to have good weather too! certainly would recommend to family and friends, thank you.
Just stayed here for a long weekend. This place is excellent. There were 6 of us and we were all happy with the treasure chest. Loads of little extra touches. We stayed on the top floor. Loads of room up there. Close to everything thing. Nice pub and chippy across the road. Would definitely recommend and return to this property with friends.
The apartment was absolutely stunning, all the decor throughout was done to high standard. All the rooms were beautiful, it was home from home. The owners had thought of everything. The treasure chests for the grown ups and the children were a lovely thought. It was very clean throughout and you wouldn't even think you were allowed dogs in there. Nothing was too much trouble, if you needed to no anything you only had to email/txt the owners and they got straight back to you. It was lovely in the apartment block too. The apartment was near all the amenities so it didn't take long to walk into the town centre or the beach. I would recommend this apartment it was beautiful.
