Perfectly located for touring both Cornwall and Devon situated close to the border this charming period farmhouse which has been completely renovated and refurbished, is set in 18 acres on a working farm at the end of a no through road in the tranquil hamlet of West Curry just off the road linking Launceston and Bude. Children will delight in the farm animals and the owners, who live close by, encourage families to participate in the feeding as well as handling of a variety of animals with piglets and new born lambs depending on the time of year. After taking the quiet road to the hamlet you enter the Farmhouse which is full of character with slate floors, clome ovens, exposed beams and a log burner adding to the atmosphere and perfect for the cooler evenings. Immediately on your right as you enter is the utility room which has a large granite salter suitable for rinsing off wetsuits and sandy dogs. Although set in such rural surroundings a short drive will take you to the year round dog friendly Black Rock beach at the southern end of Widemouth Bay which itself is a Blue Flag beach, is long and sandy, popular with both families and surfers, with its own Surf School. Widemouth itself also has a selection of shops, pubs and an Italian restaurant, perfect to visit after a day at the beach. Reviews

We stayed here with some friend and all our children. The farmhouse itself was immaculate and well stocked. Fresh bread, scones and cream on arrival with milk and wine in the fridge. Treats for the dog and plenty of firewood and towels. The kitchen again had it all covered including really sharp knives and an induction hob. Ian and Monica were just lovely and took the kids on a full tour of the farm and animals each night. They fed sheep, calves and piglets, held ducks and collected fresh eggs. The farm is a 15 minute drive to the beach and close enough to Launceston to pick up supplies. 10/10
