Reviews

This cottage looked fantastic on the Sykes website, however, it is not a four star residence at all. There is one full (tiny) bathroom, a shower in a cupboard in a bedroom and a shower in the utility with a toilet off the kitchen. There is insufficient room for a proper hand basin in this toilet so the owners have gouged out the wall and put a tiny sink in there with a pipe coming down the wall with a stop cock on it for cold water only. Luckily only my husband and I together with my brother and his wife were staying for the week. It was the most inconvenient property I have ever stayed in. The garden was a mess with very tall grass and uneven and loose paving with extremely steep steps down into a tiny courtyard where there was a derelict patio table and chairs. The side gate into the garden (only level entry) was locked and could not therefore be used. Shabby chic this is not. Avoid if you don’t want to be getting up in the night and having to negotiate steps. Seriously unsuitable for children and I was pleased the grandchildren were not with us.
