Location Details

Mullion is a village on the Lizard Peninsula, just over five miles from Lizard Point, the most southerly tip of mainland Britain. The village is home to a selection of popular restaurants, shops and pubs, as well as Mullion Cove, a working harbour.

Cornwall's visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain's premier holiday destinations.

Reviews

I really can't recommend this cottage enough. It's beautiful & spotlessly clean & in a good location. Within walking distance of the lovely village of Mullion & the absolutely beautiful Mullion Cove. My partner & I stayed for a week & I really can't find anything bad to say about the cottage. The pool table was used everyday & I loved that the bedroom didn't have a window, it made having a lie-in much easier with not having the sun waking us up every morning. The owner, Dean was very nice & it was a lovely touch leaving a bottle of wine, a couple of bottles of local beer & some biscuits for us. Would definitely stay again.

My husband and I grabbed the chance to stay at the lovely Blue Oyster Cottage at the first opportunity post lockdown. The location is perfect for exploring the gorgeous coastline of the Lizard Peninsula and both St Michael’s Mount and St Ives are within easy reach. The cottage is very well equipped, comfortable and there is good access to the garden with seating areas. The owners are very welcoming and gave us some excellent tips for exploring. Would definitely love to return.

My husband and I stayed at the Blue Oyster for the Christmas week. On arrival we met Dean the owner. As promised we had a decorated Christmas tree in the lounge and as a lovely touch wine, beer and chocolates. I hadn’t told my husband there was a pool table and the joy on his face when entering the property was priceless. Parking outside the property made it easy to unload the car. Accommodation had everything we needed apart from another baking tray as cooking Christmas dinner - mentioned to Dean and dropped one in that day. Lovely log burner in the lounge with plenty of kindle and logs provided. We walked into Mullion several times to eat and drink and only about a 15 minute walk- great little convenience store with everything we needed- recommend the scones and pasties. We enjoyed the company of the two resident dogs Freddie and Bruce We mentioned to the owners we fancied walking Porthleven to Mullion and what buses to get but they kindly offered to drop us into Porthleven- these little make all the difference and much appreciated We did struggle with a small double bed as used to a king bed but apart from that had a lovely chilling week discovering all the coves nearby

This is our fourth consecutive visit to Cornwall, and the LIzard Peninsula is our favourite part, especially Kynance Cove. The accommodation was clean, spacious, and perfect for a relaxing week away. The pool table provided great entertainment in the evening, along with the owners very friendly dogs. I would recommend this property, not only for its accommodation, but also the location, and beautiful surrounding scenery.

Even if the bed room is quite small , it is only because the rest of the accomodation is spacious. Enough to house a pool table ….. Lots of comfortable armchair or sofa space , a nice bathroom a well appointed kitchen , a pleasant area outside to play with the two friendly dogs . Convenient for the coast and coves , Mullion , Poldhu , Church all within 5 minute drives. Lizard Point 10 minutes away and 40 to Land's End. Loved it.

Bedroom very poor, no window, very dark. Poor storage, no wardrobe, drawer unit or shelves only bedside cabinets and coat stand. We had piles of clothes on sofa in sitting room. No where to put on make up or dry hair. Shower good size but only small water tank in property so very short shower, not long enough for the females of our species. Access to main house past door to Blue Oyster, very busy at weekends. Garden shared with owner and family and 2 dogs running free. On busy road no pathway to village but parking space for 1 car and owners 3 cars outside.
