One week at Cot Valley Cottage made us feel so relaxed it was difficult to adjust to life back home. The cottage had everything we wanted. It is well appointed, the shower room, kitchen and living room have high quality furnishings and fitments. All of it was beautifully clean and prepared. You can park your car next to the cottage off the road leading to the sea. The owners, Alex and Alec, were charming hosts and the welcome pack and fresh flowers were a wonderful surprise. The patio surrounded by leafy Gunera and palms next to the bubbling stream made it feel like a tropical paradise and it was a very quiet and chilled-out place to stay. It is just 20 minutes stroll down the road to Porth Nanven, perhaps the most secluded cove in Cornwall. The cottage is down very narrow roads from St Just, detaching itself from the rest of landscape, adding to the seclusion and privacy which are among its main attractions. We hope to return to recharge our batteries and see Alex and Alec again. A beautiful place for a wonderful holiday.
