Reviews

The accommodation was lovely. Mentioned in previous reviews on arrival, selection of tea and coffees / homemade cake/ fresh milk and flowers. We were made to feel very welcome from Serena & Jim. Home from home really. Great location with beautiful views over looking the valley. Local pub do great food and very friendly and only 5 minutes walk away. We have booked again for next year we loved it that much excited to explore more of Cornwall.

Such a fabulous place to stay. This apartment is well appointed, warm and comfortable with beautiful views across the valley. With easy access to many beaches, cycle trails and coastal walks and the added advantage of a lovely countryside pub only 5 mins walk away it could not be more perfect. Our hosts, Jim and Serena were very welcoming and will ensure a wonderful stay. Looking forward to our next visit.

Couldn't fault this excellent apartment. Located about a 3 minute walk from Mithian which is close to St Agnes. Our delightful hosts Serena and Jim were so helpful and on hand to give advice. The apartment is exactly like the photographs. It has a sitting room with TV, double bedroom, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, sofa bed, childs cot We were amazed at how much was provided. Home made cake, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, fresh milk, fruit, fresh flowers, toiletries, towels, an array of cleaning accoutrements, a dish washer and washing machine. There are beautiful walks by the coast and the local pub which serves nice food is 3 minutes away. There is a delightful deck with tables and chairs which has you sitting facing the sun and the quiet countryside...an oasis. Everything was spotlessly clean. There was tons of reading material about the area and there were lots of board games and films also. Highly recommend. Will we go back? Definitely YES.

This was our seventh stay at Secret Garden and have never been disappointed. The accommodation is spacious, clean and well maintained. We find it very peaceful away from traffic noise, sitting on the veranda watching the birds feeding, it is ideally situated for lovely walks, beaches and a great pub down the road. Looking forward to our stay next year.

Had a great stay, well equipped and comfortable cottage. Peaceful setting, near to the coast, good pub in the village that serves food and has a little shop. Excellent base to explore the local attractions.

A great little place that is good value and close to some lovely beaches. Was a real treat to sit outside on garden patio in sunshine with a coffee and some breakfast to start the day. Flat is good sized for two people and kitchen is well equipped - we cooked properly one night for dinner as well as going out for meals. All in all a very comfortable stay and will hopefully be back soon.

The fact that we come here regularly speaks for itself. comfortable, well-equipped cottage with lovely garden and views, with pub within walking distance, St Agnes with shops, beach and coastal walks a short drive away and easy access to the many attractions of the area.

Arrived 14th July for a weeks holiday. Left after 3 days. There are no facilities to post the photos we have here for reasons unknown. However we found the property to be tired and worn, suffering from chronic damp, and there were rats roaming around the garden.
