This studio-style property is situated in scenic leafy countryside, just a short drive from picturesque Helford Passage. Perfect for those seeking a truly secluded escape, guests of Dovecote have unlimited access to acres of wooded countryside surrounding the property, as well as a small orchard. The property’s own colourful cottage garden is a wonderful place to relax with an evening tipple, and is particularly pleasant during the spring and summer months. Two hand-railed steps take you inside to a small galley kitchen. One step up and you will be through to the open-plan living and sleeping area, where the high beamed ceiling and neutral furnishings create a fresh and sunny welcome. An adjoining en-suite shower room completes the small but perfectly-formed accommodation. Out and about, while away the days exploring the banks of the Helford River, with its hidden coves, unspoilt scenery and quaint waterside hamlets. Discover Frenchman’s Creek - the inspiration behind Daphne du Maurier’s novel of the same name – foodie pubs right on the water’s edge, and unpolluted, starry night skies. Remote and romantic, Dovecote offers blissful tranquillity and the chance to embrace a slower pace of life. Helford 11 miles away.

Helford is a picturesque village on the south side of the Helford River. Helford is very popular with its thatched cottages, excellent village stores and especially The Shipwrights Arms, right on the edge of the creek with its waterside terrace. Just a short walk away is Frenchman’s Creek, immortalised by Daphne du Maurier. The Helford River Sailing Club is very popular and a regatta is held every August. In the summer a passenger ferry runs to Helford passage, the home of the Ferryboat Inn, and nearby to the gardens of Trebah and Glendurgan. The wildlife on the Helford River is diverse and a birdwatcher’s paradise.
