Devon is where my heart is. We're grandparents / special guardians to Mia. 10. We also took our grandson Arthur. 3. He was super excited for our holiday. Arrived Friday. My son, daughter in law & granddaughter Hollie with Bruno dog joined us Monday. Best friend with Saxon dog arrived Tuesday. Wow we had a full busy house. Everyone slept beautifully. Comfy beds. Knowing we were self catering, I brought extras like washing pods, dishwasher tabs. Toilet rolls etc ( didn't want laundry & dishes to get in the way of our holiday ) Having the washing machine/ tumble dryer was absolute godsend. Views were stunning pretty much all round except our room looked out onto building/renovations. No noise though. Look forward to seeing finished results. Fishing lakes a short walk away. Owners so so lovely. Owners furbabies popped by daily, which we didn't mind. Upstairs looked recently decorated, refreshed. Very inviting & cosey. Kitchen looked brighter than original photos. Really spacious. All utensils needed to hand. Living room could be brightened up a little, slight damp smell, however I was still comfy. Downstairs bathroom looked inviting. Very modern. Bath plug didn't appear to fit snuggly enough so water kept running away. ( children's bath ) Downfall with so many staying - hot water didn't last long. Ok for those who didn't mind a cooler shower hubby. The drive down the track /driveway would be a challenge to those in standard cars due to the unevenness and pot holes. Go steady. Great location to access a number of beaches. Westward Ho being very close. Perfect Sunsets . Plenty of shops, eateries to hand. We would love to come back! Maria, Paul, Mia, Arthur, Matthew, Emily, Hollie, Bruno dog, Lizzie & Saxon dog. South Gloucestershire, Chippenham, Okehampton. Xxx

We have just arrived and have had a warm welcome from Mr and Mrs Lee when a tour of the property. So far everything is just excellent even down to the cream tea that awaited us. What a gem. The rooms are really clean and well decorated and the whole place is warm and roomy. Been here less than an hour and we are in awe. If you don't stay here, you are missing out. All 7 of us can't wait to explore the area and know that we have somewhere homely to come back to each evening. Will definitely be back.
