Reviews

This is our second visit to Oaklands Cottage as we just love it. Set within a quiet and secure holiday park, it is a bright, clean and spacious cottage which our group delighted spending time in. From the master bedroom you can hear the sound of a babbling brook which runs through a farmer field behind the cottage along with the occasional mooing of cows. So relaxing and really makes you feel like you have left the city far behind. Our other trip was in winter and was just as enjoyable as we found it so cosy and welcoming. As this was a summer trip we enjoyed bbq’ing on the green surrounds of the cottage grounds. We had a wonderful holiday with a convenient location for exploring the many great sites and villages of Cornwall.

Loved the location and surrounding area. The cottage was clean, comfortable and nicely furnished. Everything was available you could possibly need for a lovely stay, a home away from home. Great wet room with an amazing shower. It was so relaxing listening to the stream at the bottom of the garden. The location is fantastic for exploring North Cornwall. We couldn’t have asked for more from the owners. We hope to return next year.

We stayed at Oaklands over the New Year and found that the cottage is perfectly positioned to be able to get to the popular tourist places - Padstow, Tintagel, Bude, etc. within easy reach, yet as it is in a quiet private complex you feel like you are in your own little world. The shower in the wet room is amazing - we all loved it. It's great to come back to a warm, clean and relaxing cottage after a bracing winter's walk on the beach. The cottage was exactly as described in the Sykes listing - very clean with everything we needed, and more. We had a great stay and plan to come back and will recommend to friends.
