Surrounded by rolling countryside with distant sea views from the front and countryside walks on your doorstep it’s easy to see why this is a popular choice. An award winning beach and also voted Best British Beach, Woolacombe beach boasts 3 miles of soft golden sands and whether you wish to sunbathe, build sandcastles, play ball games, surf, swim or body board, there is something for everyone. The village of Woolacombe is lively and vibrant, attracting holidaymakers from all walks of life, it has a good selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and takeaways and the beachside café is the perfect place to sit and indulge in a Devon Cream Tea. Follow the coastal path to the adjoining village of Mortehoe, a smugglers haunt, and walk along Morte Point to catch some glorious views down to Woolacombe and across to Lundy Island. The harbour town of Ilfracombe, with its quaint Victorian charm, and the market towns of Barnstaple and Bideford are all within easy driving distance. Visit the Pannier markets for great local produce. A day out to Exmoor is well worth the trip and follow the moor to Lynton and Lynmouth where the fields meet the sea. Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?

Just not sure what to say, mix emotions with this place. Beautiful area, beautiful bungalow. But didn't sleep well at all, the beds are very uncomfortable and the sofa was uncomfortable too. The kitchen equipment needs updating, it was difficult cooking, but managed. Washing clothes was difficult too, no washing line, no dryer but found a broken washing stand in the garage. We managed. Recycling was difficult to no where to but are rubbish the bins where full. And it wasn't clear at all how to recycle and where to but it.. Ilfcombe was a good day out and so was woolacombe. But staying there was difficult it needs sorting out in a lot of areas. Not fare on other people staying there It's a shame because it did spoil it for us. But beautiful bungalow and area. It's half an hour walk to the beach, I thought it was 10 mins, so the information that I read was misleading I am afraid. I will not be going back
The pictures truly reflect the excellence of this cottage. Set in a small development within easy reach of the beach and numerous eateries. Our 3 year old quickly felt at home with the selection of toys and the rest of the family impressed with the facilities in the cottage. Any problems reported to the owner were quickly resolved. Numerous points of interest within easy reach. Would have no hesitation in visiting again.
