Enjoy estuary views from this lovely house which provides excellent accommodation in the village of Appledore North Devon. Within walking distance to the village amenities this is a fabulous house for a holiday with the family or friends. The three bedrooms offer plenty of space with the master benefitting from an en-suite and one of the doubles having its own WC. The living area is modern and spacious and being open plan means the whole family can enjoy some quality time together and with the log burner for the cooler evenings you can really snuggle up and stay warm. The quaint fishing village of Appledore sits where the Taw and Torridge rivers meet before flowing into the Atlantic Ocean. Explore the maze of winding lanes housing quirky cafes, shops and pub/restaurants along with brightly coloured cottages, take a stroll along the quay or hop on a ferry to the pretty village of Instow with its stretch of sandy beach. Sun worshippers and children will love the two miles of glorious sands at Westward Ho! a popular area for surfers where the white waves of the Atlantic come rolling in. Separated by a pebble ridge from the beach, golfers can find a great links course here along with horse-riding and coastal trails for walkers and cyclists. The Big Sheep and The Milky Way are wonderful days out that the whole family can enjoy and the historic market towns, of Bideford and Barnstaple are within easy driving distance and offer an array of shops, eateries and entertainment along with the fabulous Pannier Markets selling lots of local produce. This is a lovely house with beautiful views which makes it perfect for a holiday at any time of the year.

Where the Taw and Torridge rivers meet, sits the delightful quayside village of Appledore, next to the River Torridge. Appledore boasts a small but great range of shops, pubs, guesthouses and art galleries. A thriving fishing and trading village since the 14th century, Appledore has been a famous boat-building centre for many years and the shipyard is still active today. Picturesque Appledore provides a peaceful base from which to explore North Devon, and is close to surf beaches.The Quay is very central to life in the village and it is here you will find many activities including fishing trips, crabbing contests on the quay, and sometimes Morris Dancers. This quaint fishing village has a maze of narrow streets leading to the quay. Just four miles from Appledore,straddling the Torridge estuary, is the quaint bustling town of Bideford boasts a medieval bridge, town quay, quaint pannier market and vibrant shopping area - all well worth a visit. For the more active, several major surfing beaches, golf courses, theme parks and other attractions are nearby and the South West coast path passes close by on its way into Cornwall. The beautiful cliff-top fishing village of Clovelly is half an hour by road, and the delights of Exmoor and Dartmoor can be reached in under an hour. Surf the waves, stroll through pretty villages, wander along the Tarka Trail, visit a famous garden or have some fun at one of the local theme or farm parks – it’s all on the doorstep
