Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.
I stayed here for a week with my mother and 8 year old daughter. All three generations of the family loved the cottage. Everything was very comfortable and cosy. My mum loved the interior design, I liked the well equipped kitchen and my daughter loved the big garden and toys. Ann is a wonderful hostess. Nothing is too much for her. An example is that I contacted her just to let her know that I had used the last light bulb. She was there within minutes with a box of new bulbs! I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone. Its fantastic.
This is our first trip to Trefor and choose this terraced cottage as a base to explore from. This worked out really well for our family and we enjoyed having a place to ourselves. Each room was nicely decorated and clean and fresh. The kitchen was especially well equipped, with hob and oven, dishwasher, microwave oven and ample utensils. Please note the steps up to the house would be awkward for pushchair or wheelchair users, but parking is very convenient with one space outside the front. The property also has a nice garden and utility area which included washer and dryer. To give you an idea of the thoughtfulness of the host there was a cupboard dedicated to plastic cups and plates for the garden. Ann also lives close by which is handy in case of emergencies. Our host gave us a warm welcome and welcome basket, which was easter themed and most appreciated. Simple things like bread and milk were also included and made such a big difference. The living room included a log burner with plenty of fuel and we also noticed a well stocked cupboard with DVDs and some kids toys. I especially liked finding a cupboard of books and scrabble and chess! Ann has thought of everything to make the house a home from home. If I could offer one small thing to improve the property it would be to give all of the doors around the handles a bit of a clean. Otherwise this was a perfect stay and a place I'm sure we would love to come back too.
This was our second visit/stay at Bythynnod Newydd and it won't be our last. We love this house, it is spotlessly clean, cosy and very well equipped. The local area is lovely and quiet and offers easy access to the main attractions, Snowdon, Cader Idris, Betws-Y-Coed etc. It also offers some great days out that are off the beaten track but offer the same amount of beauty and escape. The house is situated in the middle of a beautiful mountain range, which is always lovely to look out at, if the weather allows! There is a lovely coastal walk at the back of the house, that leads down to a very quiet and peaceful beach. Ideal for stretching the dogs legs after a long journey. The house itself is spotlessly clean and very well equipped. We never need anything when we are there, asides food of course! The log burner is wonderful, Wi-Fi is good, washing machine works great, cooker etc, all great. The garden is big and beautiful, our dog loves it, I would love to see the garden in the summer months to enjoy the views from the seating area. Ann, the host is amazing, she couldn't do anymore for us. Both times we have stayed have been over the Xmas period and she really does goes out of her way to ensure we are happy, comfortable and feeling Christmassy! The house is always spotlessly clean and has the most special touches - Xmas tree, outdoor lights, candles, table decorations etc. Its magical. We cannot fault this house in any way. We have found a real gem and will return every year from now on... Thanks again Ann, we are very grateful for all your efforts to make our time away special! x
