Inside, the property provides the very best of a modern decor, whilst still retaining some of its original period features such as exposed beams. Enter into the spacious sitting room where you can curl up with your loved ones and unwind into the evening whilst catching up with your favourite shows, while the gas woodburning stove provides that extra bit of warmth during those winter months. Walk through to the open-plan kitchen/diner resting towards the rear, housing everything you could need to rustle up a delicious meal for the whole family, to be enjoyed at the dining table over a well-deserved glass of wine. Upstairs, you will discover four well-presented bedrooms across two floors, with the first-floor offering a king-size and a children's bunk room, whilst the second-floor has a king-size and twin. This cottage comfortably accommodated 6 adults. It was warm, clean and very well equipped for a staycation where we were doing our own cooking. The centre of Settle was a 5 minute walk away which was ideal. Places such as Malham Cove and the 3 Peaks were all easily accessible (by car). We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend it. The owner replied to questions quickly and was extremely helpful.
My family and I stayed at West View cottage for Christmas. We had a wonderful time. The beautiful Christmas tree was a lovely surprise and a thoughtful and kind gesture. The house is beautiful and stylishly decorated. We were 5 adults and 2 children and the house was spacious with enough room for everyone. Settle is a wonderful place with everything you need in close walking distance. I would highly recommend West View Cottage. Great house in a great location.
What a fabulous property! We stayed here with family (four adults and two children) for three nights for a short break away combined with some walking in the Dales. The house itself is decorated to an extremely high standard and it has everything you could possible need in a property. Immaculately presented, it's clear a lot of care and attention has recently gone into it. There's plenty of space for a group of six (eight would also be fine) and good number of toilets and bathrooms. The freestanding bath was amazing and perfect after a long day walking. The house was really warm and had a cosy feel to it. Location was fabulous and only a few minutes walk to the centre of the Settle village and about 5-7mins to the train station (so perfect if you are planning on walking the Yorkshire Peaks). The village itself has a good range of shops, pubs/cafes, takeaways and independent stores and is good for a browse. All in all it's 10 out of 10. I'd definitely return to this property if coming to the Dales again.
Stayed here over the weekend with 5 friends. It’s a fantastic .spacious house which has been furnished to a very high standard and made for a very comfortable home from home. It is located on a quiet street with a short walk into the village of Settle and also to Falcon Manor where we attended a wedding.so it was handy for the stagger home as taxis in Settle appear to be a rarity! I would not hesitate to recommend this place and would definitely return!
